So I’m just starting my first indoor grow, my little plant is looking pretty good to me but just want some clarification from any experts on this if my little one is looking good for 4 days old? (Was taken this morning) It’s a bagseed so I’m unsure of sex right now but since it’s my first grow I wanna make sure I grow good before purchasing expensive seeds. Right now I’m using a 30w blue bulb but just ordered a 250W hps bulb coming in next week. Eventually I’m buying a grow tent with all needed equipment as well. And I do have fox farms grow big big bloom and tiger bloom as well which I’ll start to use in about 10 ish days or so once I transplant
so my seedling is now 1 week old today. I know that eventually the cotyledons are supposed to get yellow and go away and all that eventually but I noticed mine yellowing already, is this okay? Is it too early in the stage to do this? The plant itself looks really healthy and growing vigorously but I’m curious Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
yes your second set has taken nutrients from the cotyledon add very small amount of nutrients and small amount of the feed you have just made and water the perimeter of the pot not on base of main stem you want them roots to search for the feed not be lazy and circle
I just mixed 1 tablespoon in a gallon of water like the Big bloom fox farms suggested to use for seedlings every other watering so I’ll post a pic if I see any new results since the nutrients being added ! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
since those photos I’ve taken I do now see the 3rd set of true leaves coming in a few hours later so that’s gotta be a good sign Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
it definitely looks more yellow so I have been researching everywhere to make sure at this age (1 week one day) the cotyledons should be deteriorating and I’m seeing a lot of places it is? The plant is in good condition itself and looks very green and dark and growing so like I’m confused if I should be worried or not. I feel like the second set of true leaves are beginning to block light from the cotyledons so they are beginning to no longer be needed because the plant is now seeming big enough to make what it needs in its own Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
You need to relax dude - your plant looks fine - smoke a doobie. If you look at it long enough your mind will invent problems.
