4/20 Celebration

    Howdy, folks.

    As everyone who frequents these boards knows, 4/20 is approaching rapidly. While other threads have asked posters to discuss their planned activities for the "big day," I'm writing to suggest that we attempt to devise a celebration that everyone at The City can enjoy together. I challenge each of you to submit at least one suggestion of a collaborative event that can involve everyone who posts on these boards. If we wish for our internet "community" to live up to its name, we should work to ensure that our board remains one of the most recognized, best respected sites of its kind.

    All I ask is that you take a moment when smoking your next joint, bowl, or blunt to consider the possibilities. Let's try to be original and intelligent. Hell, let's try to start a tradition that will be perpetuated for as long as 4/20 itself!

    This is a call to arms, my friends. Will you accept the challenge?

    I think we all schedual a suitable time, that all of us, at the same exact time, either light a bowl, take a hit of a blunt, or anything involving getting some weed smoke into the lungs. Maybe we will just see a big smoke cloud arise from the sky! :D

    Im in favor of a GC run chat room to open at 4:20 in the afternoon on 4/20. EVERYONE should come in blazed! I mean, if youre not smoking at 4:20 on 4/20, are you really celebrating?

    hmm ya know lets see....i dunno lets get some fresh ideas here we should get an idea web goin!!! haha how about hmm we create a dance for more than 2 people at a time when smokin to honor the city and all its tokers?
    i dunno expand on this guys

    I will admit that this is a difficult challenge, which explains why I failed to include any suggestions in my initial post. :) Nonetheless, we should be able to come up with something interesting.

    Remember that it's perfectly acceptable to suggest ideas that do not involve the internet. Despite the fact that many of us spend entirely too much time roaming these forums, I pray that most have lives away from the computer.

    If only it were possible to gather all of GC's posters together for a few hours on 4/20...

    Now THAT would be a celebration!

    you guys can do what you want. i'm just smoking hellas all day and i probably won't have time to stop by here until the evening.

    Perhaps you're onto something. Maybe all of us should promise to spend 4/20 away from our computers. I doubt that anyone at The City would contend that 4/20 is a holiday best celebrated alone, face faded by the oppressive glow of a monitor. Something tells me that a few of you will disagree that this is the best course of action, but I won't know for sure until I see a few more replies.

    While we're at it, let's keep other suggestions coming.

    That's the one part of the celebration with which no one here will disagree. What will you do after you've gotten high, though?

    if people are up to it we should have meetings in areas where alot of people are. Like for instance here in san diego we should gather around somewhere and get high with all the local san diego ppl.
