Hello, I was trying to decide on which bong to get. Obviously, i'm looking for the bong that will give me the better hit, but i also dont want there to be a ton of drag. Which bong do you guys think would give a better hit? Would the one with three trees cause alot of drag? Is the inline as a main percolator that much better? Thank you
If your looking for low drag your going to hate tree percs. Simply outdated technology, much smoother low drag pieces out there.
How much are you looking to spend? If its around $150 I'd suggest an apix stemline. If more, then go for an apix stem to disc
Hmmm, well im still wondering if one perc with alot of arms is better than 3 percs with less arms, also if trees are so bad what else is a better alternative? Also what makes trees so bad? and where can i get this Apix?
I think one perc with lots of arms would be better. looks cooler. the three percs is otherwise overkill. trees are draggy, they don't do as good a job at diffusion imo. showerheads or stemlines are nicer for diffusion. you can contact Apix through facebook
Between those two you showed the the inline to 18 tree would be better, but you can find some better quality glass than that for same price.

yes, but the quality of the glass isn't necessarily as good. I don't know how good their glass is comparatively but in general you get what you pay for (up to a point). Those bongs may break more easily (say if its not cooled properly), the joints may not be good/clean meaning you can see weld marks and whatnot, the percs and things may be crooked. this all adds up. where can you get better glass for the same price? nowhere reliably that i know of but if you find a good used piece from a good brand then those can be good deals.
bongoutlet carries shitty china glass. That means, it says 5mm and its most likely like 2-3mm in the most important parts (joints, beaker bottom), plus the quality is just shit. If you only wanna spend $50 and your careful with your glass go there...if you want.. But you should def buy american.
Im gonna go ahead and call both of you out on the hating on bongoutlet. I have gotten 2 water pipes from there, one was a foot tall 3 arm tree perc, obviously the bottom cracked because its a 1 foot tall piece and the glass was thin as you said, but however i currently have a 7mm 21 inch straight tube and i must say its the best bong ive had overall. It isnt the smoothest because it has no percs but it is VERY thick, yea you can slightly see weld marks but oh fucking well lol. And this bong has been knocked over and clanked against everything and not even a crack, not to mention all the reviews on bongoutlet are good with the occasional shipping complaint. I would like to buy from *******tech but theyre just so expensive lol

I doubt it is as strong as American glass, it might be think but it's still prob china glass. There's a video of a guy dropping a toro double chamber tube over and over and it never breaks till he drops it from real high. I doubt anything from bong outlet could withstand that.
Now that sir, is a point proven haha. As much as id like to get a really high grade bong, and i REALLY would i LOVE my bongs haha, but i dont have that kinda budget, anyone know of any cheap high grade bongs? i know thats kind of an oxymoron but the APIX seems to be pretty high end while being like what $150? If i cant find anything else it seems that the gridded stemline is what im gonna get, thanks to the previous posters for the recommendation. Also are you sure its "shitty china glass" or are you assuming that, because if it is that shitty i will definitely be deterred.
Yes, the craftsmen ship that an artist puts into his glass just isnt present when it comes to tubes pumped out of a factory. While your straight tube may hold up well, more complicated ones withs percs simply won't. I had a 19-arm tree perc from Blaze glass (a.k.a china glass) and it was a very sturdy 5mm i believe. However, when knocked over while standing on the ground it landed on the joint causing it to snap off. In addition to that, the tree perc came detached from its held, rendering it useless completely. If it were your first or second bong purchase, i would feel ok with recommending it, but for being your 3rd tube, I can personally guarantee you will be more than satisfied with getting your hands on a quality tube that you know is a work of art as well.
I'm 100% sure bong outlet is china glass, beside the quality, you can usually tell when a tube is colored with just a single color like those see through green and blues give it away. Also if it has a lot of Percs it's most likely china, like the 3x4arm. If the bowl is that big huge round one that you one the bong outlet ones, it's also most likely china. Also apix is great, if you don't wanna spend as much you can get something under 100, but dot expect it to be as smooth. Staff makes travel tubes for like $60 thn upgrade to a shower head diffy from them for a extra 15 and then a dd slide for idk how much much. Aqua labby techy also has some cheap straight tubes.
Yeah apix seems like my main choice right now, the gridded stemline looks pretty sick but your saying it still isnt that great? and yeah the straight tubes on ******* are good but im trying to get a nice perced out bong
An Apix stemline will be 10x better than anything else in your price range. Stemlines hit awesome, no drag and tons of diffusion. My daily driver is a SG stemline,but ive hit dans and they hit just as well. See if you can get a stemline, a carbon filter and a disk screen bowl deal from him. For sure get the disk screen bowl to go with it, need that high flow to make the stemline function to its potential.
Ive tried contacting APIX on facebook but no reply yet :/ is there anyway else to contact him? his website only has the 17 inch stemline bong with ice notches
