Here are pics of the hydrohut mini 400w mh conversion for veg and 400 hps for flowering air cooled 20 gallon res with general hydroponic solution. Strains are White Widow, Northern Lights the seeds are germinating right now and the rockwool is in conditioner seeds will prob break tomorrow. This is my first grow all advice would be a huge help thanks.

Ok the time has come the seeds are cracked after almost 2 days in water im tranferring the seeds to rockwool that was soaking into the solution, How long do you guys think it should take to put them under the lights, how long you think i should wait before tranferring them under the mh conversion bulb below are the seeds that are crazked and ready for rockwool the bottom pic is the rockwool soaking in solution. I will take pics after i tranfer them into thr rovkwool I need some replies this is my first grow
ok so 8 7 of my seeds cracked 4 northern light and 3 big buds. I left the Widows in the water i dont think they are ready yet so i will be watching them. Put the cracked seeds into 1 inch rockwool cubes and put them in a dark place with a fan running Can someone answer me how long do you think i have to wait until i put them under the 400w conversion bulb Would love some replies The Fan is on low im watered them right before i put them in how often do you think i should water?
Hey mosbeg, my internet blocker blocked your pm sorry. It should only take a couple of days tops to pop out of the rockwool. Than get your light on them right away. Put it a couple of feet above the plants to start, then slowly lower to the sweet spot. BTW nice setup. Good Luck.
Awesome man thanks for the advice, im realy excited getting this thing started Im gonna inclube my feed chart i am getting the res all set up while the seeds are in rockwool. gonna heat the res to abot 72-75 do you think that is good? Itd a 35 gal res im only gonna use 20 gal of water how soon should i start these little guys on nutes? How long do you think i should wait?
ok well heres some more pics 3 of the 5 white widows cracked so i put them into the rockwool ok water questions im gonna set up my res and i need some help its a 35 gal res and im wonderin how much water i need to put in it the tray is 4 inch deep wonderin if i have to cover all the rockwool or what here are some pics
Ok i did another test run and the tray floods for 20 min then shuts off 3 times a day in the pics the water comes up the rockwool and floods it. Is this ok>? ~Is it soaking to much of the rockwool>? I put the seeds under some floros for some humidity i had them in the dark for a day still no sprout its been 2 days still waiting
Nice set up man, I think you can get some smoke out of it, Seedlings should not need to be watered that much you may want to let them get a little dry, i always water by hand until I transplant to the big cube, about once a day after they pop the surface, You may drown your seeds, back off until they sprout... They drink more once they have roots /.... gluck buddy, it looks alot like my set up..... PS... that flood levelis good but the logest you want them submerged is 15 minutes total, That from begining of flood to end of DRAIN, not when pump stops... I start my nutes 8th day after popping the surface.. 25% mix... then up 25% every 7 days and watch your plants....they will tell you when they are hungry......PH is somthing you will have to watch closely.
thanks bud but my timer will only shut off in 20 min thats when the pump starts so what should i do man the pump shuts off in 20 min 3 times a day thanks for the watering tip i only watered them with a couple squirts with the spray bottle the rockwool is wet but not soaked how long until you think until they pop and what should i do about the flood cycle
Ok its the third day and im starting to get some life they are just about to stick their heads out while they pop i will be getting the res working i have 10 gallons of water in it but i have to get a new timer so the pump will shut off in 5 10 min rather then 20. My ph was about 5.5 yesterday and checked it again today and it was like 6 why is the ph going up and down so much?
The digitals cost about 25 bucks, You can use that timer, I just found my optimum to be 10 minutes pump on 2 minutes drain..total of twelve... how many hours of light are you giving them? three times a day will be fine when they have some growth but right now once a day is fine, that will also help with your ph... As they grow watch the cubes,when they seem to be getting dry in between waterings,this will be a sign of when to kick the water schedule up. 2-3 nodes go to two waters a day... Water does evaporate and your plants may decied to change thier nute intake both these could effect ph, so your ph will have to be monitored, make sure the rockwool is covered it will mold. They should op within the next day or so.... Tough to watch and wait
thanks for the reply bud i havent even started the system yet im nly watering them with a spray bottle the rockwool is pretty wet so i didnt water them today i dont want to over due it my ph is stabalizing for now i have floros running on them and my humidity is at around 67 percent with the dome on they seem to like it when do you think i should put the real mh 400w conversion bulb in? Im not gonna yet Im giving them 24 hours of light just 2 small floros do you think thats cool?
ok almost all the seeds have popped up the ones more then an inch i put into 4 inch rockwool. I need some advice man can anyone hit me up here are some pics of the seedlings i have the floros a bit closer now
The cubes shouldnt be transplanted until you see roots coming out of the small cube, thr roots develope faster that way, the light can be within 2" (flouros)but take it there over a couple days. start at about 5" they are babies you know. wait a couple weeks before you hit them with the big light and start that at 2 feet above them.
thanks man i appreciate the advice i have the floros about 5 inches away they seem the be stretching a little because i left the humidity dome on longer then i needed too. The first set of leaves grew now im just waiting i havent put them into the system yet i guess ill just keep the floros on them until you guys think its good to go with the mh
Hey budslinger i have a couple of questions for you man. Ok my exhaust is all done now i just bought a digital timer and gonna hook up the flood tonight. My ph everyday before i go to sleep i check it and its around 5.8 5.9 then when i wake up it always goes to 6.0 6.1 then i get it back to 5.8 is that normal? Its not spiking that high just a little. The seedlings ae doing ok one of the big buds has streched and i dont undertsand why the humidity is ok and the lights are close How long do you think i should wait for the mh Bud you said couple weeks so i should just keep them going under the 2 floros heres some pics
