Ive recently got a new tent and im having trouble keeping it cool ive got a carbon filter hooked up with a small booster fan at the end blowing out the window and some ducting coming in from outside for fresh air im only running one 200watt LED light i have 2 of them and would like to use both but cant seem to get temps right with just one i also have a circulating fan inside but temps still continue to rise its been on for about 2 hours and its already at 85.6°F ive tried a pretty hefty a/c but got too much positive pressure maybe a big inline fan to help suck more air out? Anyone else have issues with heat and tents maybe could shoot some advice my way it would be highly appreciated the tent is also set up in my room and my house is usually around 69/70° will try and post pictures thanks in advance!
You need a legit exhaust fan. Get a six inch AC Infinity. You won't regret it. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Something like the cloudline t6? I was looking at a vivosun 6in 440cfm inline fan but do you think that would be too much without having some sorta intake coming in to balance out the negative and positive air? Sent from my LG-Q710AL using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Don't worry about negative pressure. It won't hurt anything. I don't use an intake fan, just exhaust with my vents open. Tent walls are always sucked in slightly. I really don't think you can overdo an exhaust fan, especially considering they have speed control. Better to have too much and turn it down than not enough. I use one of the T6 fans and it's enough to keep my 4x4 cool with over 500 LED watts running full blast. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Very much appreciated mate will get something ordered asap! Sent from my LG-Q710AL using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I agree with dyers. Get one with a speed controller otherwise it will always be running at 100% and be loud af. A larger fan running at a slow speed is better than a small fan running at a high speed. Just have 1 fan on your exhaust and let the air passively come into the tent. Save the booster fan for some other use.
Following this thread, practically the same issues I’m having!!! Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum
I’d say you’re fine. Some strains don’t mind higher temps. Silica can help with heat stress as well. My tent runs 88-90 in summer and I pulled .85 GPW on my first grow.
My 6" A/C Infinity fan will be here tomorrow. I love all of their gear. They make amazing 120v axial fans. Prices are unmatched also. Check out their listings on Ebay. Just search for the seller: acinfinity. Like he said, you wont regret it.
If your driver is mounted inside of the tent you might want to think about moving it out of the tent and then cool it with a computer fan. I got mine down a good 8’. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
