356w of CFL, Flowering w/ 51days veg. Lost of pics!

Discussion in 'Micro Grows' started by 01Bullitt, Oct 10, 2011.

  1. They're 51, 42, and 14 days old, vegged under 205 watts. On 24hrs of darkness now, will be switching over to the 356 watts of 2700k CFL's at 9am tomorrow morning.

There's 3 plants, two are in 2gal pots and the other is in about a 1 gallon pot. All bagseed from good strains. 1 is OG kush, 2 is trainwreck, and 3 was some knockout heavy indica that didn't have a name.

In FFOF soil. The two oldest ones have been fed grow big and Mexican bat guano, and the smaller one hasn't gotten a feeding yet. I'm going to transplant it in the morning into the ~1gal pot.

I'm following the fox farms feeding schedule, so I'll start feeding with big bloom and tiger bloom the second watering for the older two because I'm flushing them first. The youngest hasn't gotten any nutes at all yet so I'll just start at 1/4 strength of bb and tb.

Here's the latest pictures, and I'll post another one when I get everything set up tomorrow morning.

  2. Hey man just joining you on the second half of your grow.

I like your strategy of darkness before flowering, tis what I plan to do.

Remember to watch how much nute you use, dont want to burn the babies, and FFOF soil has plenty of nutrients I have found to only need them after a week or two of flowering. Looks good so far man.

  3. Nice set up man. Exactly how Ive done it before. it looks like you have all cool bulbs. iif this is true i recommend ggetting the same amount of watts and bulbs in 2700 kl and then, using all or 1/2 the 6500 kl bulbs so about 650 watts total .You will have some dank and dense dense ass buds

  4. Been watching your grow. Props! Can't wait to see the flower stage

  5. Not sure why this needed a second thread, but I've followed the original this far so I wanna see how they turn out.
    Good work.

  6. Bwitsne - thanks for watching and I'll make sure to go light with the nutes. I started with less than 1/4 of the "general feeding" dosage (I just thought of this as I wrote that last sentence - should I be following the directions on the back of the bottle or on the online spreadsheet thing? I attached an image of it). They vegged for a long time so I figured they could use it.

KB - took your advice too, added in all of the 6500k bulbs that I could fit. Think I ended up only being able to fit in 2 or 3 for now lol.

Temps are up to 80/81 with all the new bulbs, you think I could take a couple out? Or replace the bigger bulbs with multiple smaller ones?

Kyle and jojo - thanks for watching, hopefully it keeps going as well as it has been.

Oh, and I finally got a ph meter for the first time. Runoff was right at 6.0 for 2, and 5.7 for 3. Also got a cloning tray, scalpel, cloning gel, and 23w fluorescent grow light. And a new huge bag of FFOF! Woo

Pictures - the aforementioned feeding chart, the light setup and amount of space, and the youngest one at day 16.

  7. Dude 80-81 is just fine IMO, I have never seen anything hermie out under 85.

Watts = Weight, goona flower sooo niceee!!!

P.S. Avg. Temps in my current 500w grow in my sig, 81-83

  8. That's good to hear, no worries then.

There's right around 400 watts in there now. Going to probably have to buy another bigger fan to push up air towards the exhausts. As it grows I'll try and figure out how to fit more bulbs in there haha

I'll have to check out your grow once I get on a conputer.

  9. your leaves look a little heat stressed?
    nice setup btw :)

  10. It really does, but I'm not sure why because it's been in the same cab with temps > between 70 and 81 at all times. any ideas of what else it could be? The new growth looks fine at least.

Appreciate it! Just went nice and simple. Going to need to completely light seal the fans and intake hole here one day though. That'll be the most difficult part of the whole thing lol

  11. I am no expert, but it looks like heat stress or dehydration. Here is a good link The Cannabis Cultivation GrowFAQ - The Internet Hub for Marijuana Cultivation - How do I find out what's wrong with my plant?.

Yeah, light proofing is an important step that is not taken seriously by many... for me the most difficult part is being patient, lol.

  12. Ah yeah dehydration makes sense. I went out of town a couple weekends ago and the little guy was still in a red cup so it got a little dried up. It's mostly that second serrated leaf set which is just around the right time so that would explain it for sure. Thanks for solving it man!

  13. no problem! :smoke:

1 and 2 are both females! Here are the pistils from both, I'm so excited to see they both are females! They're only showing at one node of each plant, the very oldest.. and they barely show at that. Just have to wait for the little one to show it's sex now.

And then some other pictures of them

  15. great setup, plants look like there going to have plenty of bud sites!!!! did u LST?

  16. I LST'd the hell out of it using hemp string and paper clips. It made such a huge difference!!

For the oldest (but smaller) girl I'm following the method where you bring the main shoot to the edge of the pot then start going in a circle around the edge of the pot. For the middle aged (and the biggest) one i topped it and then took the two main tops to the edge then took them in opposite direction around the edges of the pot. It's going to look crazy once it's harvested!

  17. awesome man!

  18. Thanks guys!

Need some help! Is the youngest one a male?? I think I see some balls..
