3 plants in a 2x4?

  1. You guys think I can fit a auto Bruce banner, auto gelato and auto night queen in a 2x4 tent using 3 gallon pots and a little bit of training ?

  2. I wouldn’t but I don’t grow autos. I’d grow one plant in there and let it have all the room
In the world. Let it do it’s thing. Then you can make your decision after you see how big it gets and how your equipment works.

  3. Yep sounds nice

  4. I started off with 4 in a 4x4 room and ended up with only 2 in the room by week 4 of flower, damn things got away from me and filled the room from wall to wall before I knew it. Now I stick to 2 at a time in flower room and thats it. Need a 16x16 area really to do what I want inside.

  5. autos only get 2 to 3ft high and only have a grow space of a foot and a half to 2ft you will be fine with 3 in a 8ft grow space with no training. I have a auto flowing right now in a 7 gallon pot outside. 20 inches tall and 23 inches wide

  6. So if he does two they will touch the walls. I personally don’t care for that. Sounds like trying 1 and letting it just thrive is best. I’d assume 20/4 hour light cycle would grow it fast

dude has a 8sqft grow space if they have a 2sqft grow space per plant which is what mine has in a 7 gallon he could have 3 in 3 gallons and still have 2 sqft to work with. also I haven't seen any "better" growth running 24/0. ive ran 18/6 16/8 and 24/0

  8. What if you were to train it

  9. no real need to train autos they don't get that big, I guess you could if you think you get a better grow I leave autos and outside grows alone and train my indoor photos for light penetration and height restriction

  10. I mostly grow autos and you never know how big they get. I've had some in a greenhouse which were almost 1,5 meters tall and then my latest were miniature, about 25 cm tall.

And yes, it can be beneficial to train autos, I do anyway. Me and my friend had Forum Stompers, I LST's she didn't, and you can guess who got more. Mine was even in a smaller pot.

My indoor grow space is about the same as OP's, I would put 2 plants in it.

  11. good for you bud it was just my opinion after growing both autos and photos, sorry you don't agree

  12. Why sorry? I told my own experience, it is not a differing opinion, it something that has actually happened.

what do you think I based what I said off of? you think I just assumed what autos do? I guess your experience reigns holy in comparison to everyone elses. I said they get 3 ft so your biggest one was 4 ft lol you mostly grow autos so out of all those you get a 4ft plant and that's the way they are. lol you had more yield than your friend, you also probably had a different grow environment than your friend as well. autos start flowering a month or month and a half into the grow, they don't have time to grow, granted you will run into one or two every now and then that may grow 4ft but the majority don't. even so let say he only puts two plants thanks to your " experience" 3 ounces off of a auto is doing well so that's 6 ounces now lets say he had 4 autos that only pulled 2 ounces a plant 8 ounces he would still be better off filling the tent with plants. 2 ounces from our dispensary is $560 on ten dollar gram days. that to me is worth putting the extra plants in there. I said I was sorry you didn't agree because you could have dropped your experience below mine, or quoted the thread maker. instead you choose to quote me acting like I was wrong, like youre the all knowing auto grower lol difference in dropping a different experience and quoting someone whos throwing their experience out there making it sound like I am just talking out of the side of my neck.

  14. you could do 2 or 3 autos in 3 gals and would propbably end up with the same or really close yields. Your limited by canopy space at this point. Personally, I would do 2 autos in 5 galls and run a double trellis. I would supercrop also to keep your canopy even and filled as it grows upwards.

I bet 1 auto in a 10 gal would get similiar results in a 4x2 if trained right.

  15. Old Post but Nebula Haze @ growweedeasy banged 8 fems in a 2x4 under a 315 CMH and got a pound plus
