  1. I started growing my plant January 4th and switched from veg state to flowering on the 23rd (I know it was early).

This is my first grow and I'm wondering why there isn't more bud by now after 3 months.

I'm growing in organic miracle grow with 2 23W 120V 60Hz 2700k CFL light bulbs.

There's been a few leaves turning yellow and falling off at the bottom and new leaves starting to grow in they're place after they fall off. From what I see there's enough bud for maybe a bowl lol.. here's some pics.. I know I should have more lights but its all I got.

I thought after 1 month of veg state u start flowering state and that last 2 months until harvest.. I started flowering earlier but its been 2 months in flowering state so I figured it would be ready soon.

Any one know how long I should wait? Any advice would be great! Thx

  2. not nearly enough light. I recommend at least 100 watts for 1 plant.

I read 50-100 watts was enough

  4. its 100. and you dont even have 50. put 2 more 23 watters in there and you'll get a little bud, put 4 more in there and you'll actually yield some personal. They're like 5-10 bucks dude

  5. there any bud on it at all? i c nothing

  6. go get those lights.

  7. i agree. just go and spend 120-150 depending , but go on ebay and get a ufo 90w light. you will solve that issue overnight.

  8. I added 2 more CFL 6500K 23w light bulbs.. not sure if those are ok though because I was told to use the 6500K for veg state and the others for flowering.. I was wondering if a 72w clear halogen light bulb would be ok on top of the other lights as well.

  9. ^ a google search could have saved you from making another mistake. You should have put in 2700k lights, but the full spectrum is doable too. Just make sure to keep it on 12/12 to keep it flowering. Really I'd swap at least one of those 6500k out for a 2700k or at least a 3000k

edit: yes you could add a 72w mh light to it.. add all the light you can

I did my research.. its my first time growing so I'm bound to make mistakes.. I do already have 2 2700k lights in there.

I bought a pack of 2 2700k and a pack of 2 6500K I was asking if I could use all 4 with it being ok.

  11. word well by your wording it sounded like it was anecdotal information but im glad you did your research. as long as you keep it 12/12 the full spectrum will do fine, i'd just encourage you to use more 2700k as the bluer light tends to encourage the buds to flower

  12. ya im using a mix of lights and it works good no switching them out all the time,

but youll definately be needing more i got 180W mixed spectrums for flowering one plant ATM.

The sun never puts out any fixed spectrum of light at any time throughout the year, the sun puts out full spectrum all the time, its a plant from nature, why not give it the light nature intended it to have and go full/multi spectrum, i use a blacklight and an incandescent side by side with a 23W 6500K CFL to start seeds i theorize the UV and IR light waves penetrate the soil better, i just had a seed grow to 3 inchs tall in two days like this, had a purplish stem too not some white flimsy stretched one, but it got wiped in an accident...

sorry bout the rant, its all to say that, i have done my research too, hours and hours. And in the end as soon as i started growing it all proved pretty much useless, just a guide line, you gotta kinda sense what will work for you, everyone will do things differently and give different advice, but its your grow, you gotta do what makes it work in your situation

Awesome reply man thx for the advice... I'd definitely use more lights if I had more lamps lol. Yeah I read 'Growing Elite Marijuana' its really long but its pretty nice to learn about how the plant really grows and what not.. even after reading it though I did have to kinda improvise at times and go with my gut on some things. After I harvest this plant I plan on trying to go hydro when I get a little money.

  14. Ya man, not a problem, with 23Wcfls you can use three Y splitters to make one light socket into 4, :D

and small DWC systems are cheap, you can buy a good 2ft tall one(sold for tomatoes) in gardening centres locally where i live,

  15. im on 1st grow and have 28 cfl 23w bulbs all over and around a 4 plant sog 24" high week 6 of flower

  16. holy s#!t thats a lot of wattage for 4, i bet you have amazing light penetration, you got any pics anywhere? Did you LST to keep them so short?

  17. dont have pics (i wont do them on my phone, and im not savvy) i did lst the tallest one now is 24" and i have 3 weeks to go. i have lights on the sides, and top and very nearly touching the plants. yep, little over 700 watts should do ok

  18. hell ya! that is 2800W equivalent at least... you could for sure get more plants under that light.
