3 different strains, 9 days into flower, no sign of sex.

  1. Any idea whats going on? Same setup I have been using for quite some time now. The longest I have ever had a plant take to show its sex was under 1 week. I am on day 9 with 3 different plants and not a single one is showing its sex yet. Cataract Kush/Bluehash/and a HGS mix pack. No light leaks, lights come on at 6am and go off at 5:58 pm.

  2. I have a strain that usually takes like 3-4 weeks. Freaked me out the first time cause I am used to like 1 and a half weeks. Be patient.

  3. How much does that affect flowering time? If it takes 3-4 weeks to show sex, does it take 13-14 weeks for it to mature?

  4. you dont start counting the days its been in "flower" until you see well flowers.. right now there are alot of chemical changes going on inside of your plant right now, just give em a few more days, or you might need to cut em to a 10/14 cycle * some strains like a longer dark period than others* patience is the key here.

  5. I guess I wasn't very clear on that. You can sex it at about 2-2 and a half weeks. Shows really nice flowers at 3-4weeks. The strain is Citral and it finishes in like 8-10 weeks. Better to let it go the full 10 weeks.

  6. Ah gotcha, thanks for the replies.

  7. There are people who argue starting the count when you first switch to 12/12. I feel that is bad advice. I started counting at the flip my first two grows, and was dissatisfied each time. This time, I waited for pistils to show and started the count. Tomorrow I enter week three, and my buds are really taking off. I recommend counting from the show of pistils.

  8. i cut my first 2 grows about 2 weeks early because of this. now i know to watch the pistils and trichomes before harvest.
