I'm currently wrapping up my first grow. One plant, from bagseed... with a shitload of CFL's. I just purchased a 150w HPS Sun Sysem, and plan on using that primarily next time w/ supplemental CFL's. The space I'm working with is my closet, which is 6'x2.5'x6', but I only use about half the space for growing. My question is whether or not you guys think i'll need to work out some proper ventilation or if 2 big fans in there will keep the air moving enough to stay cool. I really can't go cutting holes into walls, and I cant vent the air directly outside because I live in an apartment complex w/ neighbors all around me. Heat hasn't been a problem at all this go around due to a simple little 18" fan pointed directly at the plant/lights at all times. I only plan on doing 2 femmed auto Jock Horrors next time.. so I figured a 150w would be better than CFL's but not hot enough to warrant legit ventilation... but i could be wrong i guess.
rule of thumb is 100watts for the first plant, and 50watts for every 1 after thats generally for large grow ops when 100watts for everyplant gets expensive and very noticable, but yo certainly can get good yields with 150watts for 2 plants.
Well, I mean that's good to hear, but I'm not worried about the actual grow.. I'm worried about heat in my closet, and whether or not it will be a problem with some fans keeping the air moving in there.
i run around 85 degrees, and im running a 400watt MHD, and a 23watt CFL, you'll be fine. and im only running 1 small rotating fan.
