2nd Grow - Organic

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by gacland, Jan 19, 2010.

  1. So I just harvested my unkown strain (possibly hash plant), and replanted the clones for grow #2.

I repotted 7 clones of the same strain (which I took) and 2 from another unknown strain, man I have some awesome friends for giving me nice clones.

Anyway, beginning grow on Jan. 16, 2010, starting with 24/7 under 1000w MH(it's a new Agrosun bulb), the original strain plants are as follows, Agatha - 2 in a 5gal. bucket, Betty - 2 in a 5 gal. bucket, Constance - 2 in a 5 gal. bucket, Delpha - 1 in a 5 gal. bucket; the new strain is Frances - 1 in a 5 gal. bucket Gwen - 1 in a 1 gal. pot.

Roughly, and I mean very roughly mixed Dr. Earth's bone meal, all purpose vegetable, bud & bloom, and bat guano into Farmer's Choice Organic soil. (all from 7 dees).

    Let's see what happens.

    PEACE!

Saturday was three weeks in veg, I have had them under the 1000wMH @ 24/7. they never really seemed to want to grow higher, but they are getting pretty bushy. Monday night I took cuttings from the girls. I think I will let them go until the 13th/14th to switch over to flower time. here's a peek at the girls:

Well since I last posted, I let the girls vegetate for another week then took some babies, 32 in all, and now they have been on the 12/12 cycle since Valentines Day, couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the LOVE. I even got some pics I took the other night. Now, I'm not sure how much leaf size has to do with bud size, but if they are any indication, the buds on this grow are going to be huge. I have fan leaves that are as big as my hand, and I got some pretty big hands. Is this normal? I also saw a leaf that has 11 frawns, is that normal?
    Anyway check 'em out.

  4. oh yeah brother, you're definitely in business there. things are looking very good. nice work:D

  5. Those are lookin mighty fine sir...If your bored you could post some pics of your set up. Im always lookin for new ways to do things since I just started growing myself.

  6. No real set up, the guy I bought my house from had built this smalll out building, where he would stay until he finished the house.

When I bought the place, one of my first thoughts was I can really utilize that space.

It took me a while until I felt like going forward, but I bought my uncle's old ballast and his 2 - old 1000wMH bulbs, I screwed a lag bolt in the ceiling joists, and hung up some black plastic to keep the light bleeding out the door.

I have to be honest here, I feel that I am just real lucky, I am too lazy and impatient to be REAL into it. I really don't follow any measurements on nutes, just loosley follow the box, I never check my PH, soil or water, I water with rain water, my temps are always sporadic, cause the building is only half insulated, and I don't like messing with insulation so I won't finish it, I just run a propane heater when the light is off.

I know alot of people on this site are uber-growers, and I think that is awesome, and I appreciate their time and effort and lessons, but to me it's a WEED, it'll pretty much grow anyway, anywhere, anyhow, just don't mess with it too much. Just do what makes ya happy.

  7. right on man... well said:hello:

Okey dokey, two weeks into flower and things are looking good to me. The babies aren't doing as good as I would have hoped but the ladies are doing fine.

So I'm thinking my strains are hash plant and northern lights.

    Here are some updated pics:

Alrighty, it's been 4 weeks of 12/12 and here are a few pics of the ladies:

Theses pics are two weeks without water. No wilting, very vibrant green, the leaves tips are turning down a bit, but my room is somewhat chilly sometimes. Not too concerned. I just don't seem to have to water these ladies much.

I did water with a little bit of organic tea and molasses and last night.

  11. looking good! you're gonna have a nice little harvest for sure.

  12. How big are your pots? What soil do you have? It sounds so weird to go that long without watering....your girls look great though:hello:

  13. looking awesome you're gonna have a nice little harvest [IMG]

  14. This is looking real real good, keep it up! I hope you'll enjoy your "little" harvest :smoking:

  15. Thanks for the props guys.

They are all in 5 gal buckets except for the one in the little yellow pot, it's a gal. Three of the buckets have two plants in them.

Yeah, I'm so intrigued by not having to water, but what the hell. I going on the "they'll tell ya when they need somehting" concept, seems to be working so far. I just sometimes wonder if I am slighting them in any way, but I just don't wnat to over water when the buckets feel heavy.

  16. they look nice and healthy doing a good job:D

  17. Looks real good mate nice.
molasses what dose this do to you plants ??? im just feeding my plants a product called budzilla i get from my hydro shop am curious what i can do to max my bud at harvest.

  18. If you look at some of the threads on here, they say molasses adds carbs to soil for the microbes to use. Some say it's good some say it's bullshit. Just don't use alot of it.

Alot of the nutrients companies use molasses in their products, I just don't use the products.

  19. i uses molasses the last week of flowering and after the flush the sugar helps crystals and flavor

  20. Time for the 2 week update. The ladies have been under 12/12 for 6 weeks now.
I am thinking I have about two weeks to go, although they still look a bit green.

    Check 'em out:
