2nd grow, LR2 in organic indoors

  1. OK , after seeing others journals, I thought I would start my own . I will add pics, but can't take them tonite. I'm basically growing in a Wal Mart particle board type shelving unit about 2+ ft tall , all white inside , as well as out with a front that is also lined in white . I'm gonna be using CFL's and have fans running to move air through the box. I still need a small desk fan for inside, but I don't have a sprout just yet, so that will come soon .

I used EWC, composted manure , perlite , some tomato amendments and blood meal so far . It has been "cooking " 3 weeks or so . Should be some good stuff, but would like a little lime and kelp/ alfafa as well .

I germinated the LR2 seed on Tuesday the 6th , and it took like 8 hours to pop through the shell. I planted it in the soil mix in 3 gallon pot on the 7th , just waiting for it to come up to report more results.

Anyway, just wanted to get my place started for my grow, peace out ! :smoking:

  2. OKAY, I found you, and I am subscribed to your thread. Just add to it and I will get it.
That 2' WalMart box ain't gonna do it...too short imo. Not always, but LR's can get huge and bushy. Depends also on the light and how many plants are crowded into one closet. Are the LR seeds fems?
I also had thought of building a DIY at first, but for a few more bucks I decided to do it right and get a tent set-up with good lighting and air circulation. Just snap it together and start growing.
Remember LR's and all auto's don't like stress. Some minor lst'ing or SCROG is cool, but super cropping and topping are out. Don't waste time cloning either. I'll keep an eye out. Later

    Hey Skyking .

I'm only growing one plant in it , but have others in seperate "boxes" for lack of a better term . Yes they are Fem seeds .

The seed I had going is no longer. I have started with a new seed ( still LR2 FEM ) planted straight into the soil I will be growing it in . Something went wrong with the other seed. It was like the shell came off, but the end stayed the same shape and it fell over after a few days . :(

BTW, there is more space for the plant than what you see. I have it up on something to get it closer to the top for now. I will remove that as needed.

  4. you might want to let the soil cook a bit more. 3 weeks is really not a long time for stuff to breakdown and stabilize.

Walmart has a $5 cheapo ph meter. Might want to invest in one since you are making your own soil.

    I'm subbed :)

  5. Wow, not much room to navigate.

  6. 14" x 14" x 24" tall . I'm cutting the bottom out of the shelving unit and sitting the unit on top of the bucket , so there will be 24" + .
