2nd Grow: Girl Scout Cookies

  1. Well, ph has been ignored. I'm using tap water run through the faucet mounted water filter.

I don't seem to have leaves that are "re-greening". They yellow, then wilt, dry and die.
I have been plucking them when they wilt and get about 50% dry.
But i do notice some have weak stems and some have strong stems.
I also use that as a measure.

    Things are looking good.
I decided I'll give one more dose of nutrients this weekend. Then I'm going to stay with water only for the remaining 3 weeks.
    That should work.

Again this morning the buds seem to be popping up like popcorn!

  2. get on that PH not the thing to skimp on plants are looking awesome either way

  3. Since things are looking amazing , i had to share!
    Here are some bud shots...
I wish i could take time lapse photo's, and get a bud growing!
Oh well, these will have to do...

  4. buds look good. plants look good. copied this off of ICMag for you ill get ya a link too

  5. how many weeks into flower are you since preflower?

plant looks good..i wanna get my paws on this strain.

  6. Thanks for the link!
It is so hard to know exactly what is happening.
My leaves look like almost all of those pictures! LOL!
The leaves look like they are just getting used up, i hope:rolleyes:.
I'm going to keep up with the same routine I've been on.

I'm almost 6 weeks into flowering.
This weekend will be 6 weeks.
That means I'm only 3-4 weeks from harvest!!

I swear, again tonight those buds are bigger!
    I can wait now!

  7. Here i am again, Saturday morning Sexy time!!:hello:

Nothing to report, but successful progress.
Girls got there last fertilization of the "Bloom" nutrients today.
For the remainder of the grow it will be water only.

With another 3-4 weeks, I'm getting very excited!!
Look at those buds beginning to sugar over!!
Next week I'll start shooting some magnified pic's of the trichomes.
Those should be nice and round headed by now?!?

Plants are doing so good it's almost scary.
I am trying to leave the wilting leaves on as long as possible.
I'm plucking them when the leaf stem is weak.
That would be why there are ugly leaves on the plants in the pic's.

The smell is beginning to present itself.
Right now it is predominant within about 6-8 inches of the plant.
Touching or plucking a leaf reveals the true scentuals!
    VERY NICE!! :D

are you burning the plant with nutes, or is it just almost done even though its 6 weeks in? i have a plant that will be 7 weeks in bloom since preflower on monday..and it looks like its almost done..yellowing out hard

  9. I have been struggling with not knowing the answer to that question.
I have been in water only for almost 2 weeks, so nutrient burn can't be.
I'm just getting to the end.

I wanted to give one more shot of nutrients, since I've been holding back, before harvest.
Maybe i should look into some of those bud maximizer nutrients... Next time.

I believe I'm only losing leaves from the natural course of the plant.
But I'm no pro, i have just been asking a lot of questions for a few weeks now...

  10. i hear ya..im new too but i think there is some past nute burn for sure. it doesnt just go away, but you can tell if its still happening or not by looking at new growth. new bud growth doesnt look burnt.

  11. Yes, that is what I've been watching, the new growth.
    It never showed any signs.
It always seemed to be larger leaves that would yellow, then dry out.
I thought it was burn originally, but got passed it.
    Those buds don't look burned...
    At least not yet!

  12. nahh..you good haha. whered you find a seed of this stuff?

  13. These are from clones purchased at a local California cannabis club.
    They cost $10/each.
    Nice place to start!

  14. My local dispensaries in michigan all have feminized and non feminized girl scout cookie seeds available.

  15. So i decided to break out the digital microscope camera and see how things are progressing!
    Yay!!:yay:
    Such pretty little Trichome forests!

These are all from Plant A.
It appears to be browning the soonest.
The hairs are almost 20-40% changed.
I'm not using them as a harvest gauge, just an indicator.
As you can see from the pictures, we will be watching very CLOSELY.
I love the tight pic's were you can see the LED's reflecting in the head of the Trich!

    Enjoy...

  17. More Saturday Morning SEXY time!!

Damn these girls are getting me going!!
So beautiful! So hairy and sugary!
And they just seem to be getting fatter!
Love it when those girls those plump up!

As far as troubles, I'm not having any.
And for problems, they got pushed out with the plague!
These plants are looking to be right on schedule!
I've got a "pro" grower coming to take a look today.
I suppose I need a little, "Good Job Buddy!"
    I can't wait now!!

    Maybe 3 weeks...
    I'll take Trich pic's tomorrow...

  18. looking great dude, love the photos.

  19. Ok, time to start monitoring the trichomes...
Today is day 49 of flower.
I'm getting closer to the 4-day sweet spot of 65-69 days.
That was the number given to me by the club.
I do question their numbers, but that's why we monitor the Trich's!
2 of the plants look AMAZING and ready.
But looking closer shows they're still going!

    Here are the trichome pic's.
The pictures are taken from a top bud first, then working lower to a bottom branch "cola".
The images are a wider shot, then a tighter of the same zone.
In a few cases the shots are not, but most are.
    Enjoy!

    Plant B:
This plant does not not as ready as the other 2, visually...

  20. you mean this link? ^^
I only see a handful of amber trichomes and still quite a bit of clear ones. based on the amount of white pistils (~20%) I think they will be ready in 2-3 weeks.
theyre probably already strong now, but theres definitly still some growing going on (pistils) and potency will also increase (clear trichomes).
