Hey guys, this will be my second grow. Here's the setup:

    - Gorilla grow tent - 4x4x7
    - 3̶x̶ ̶V̶i̶p̶a̶r̶s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶r̶a̶ ̶V̶3̶0̶0̶ ̶&̶ ̶1̶x̶ ̶V̶i̶p̶a̶r̶s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶r̶a̶ ̶V̶6̶0̶0̶.̶ HLG 600h Quantum Board - 620watts [replaced the LEDs on day 43 of flower]
    - 6" inline fan (340 cfm) as exhaust w/ carbon filter (passive intake from the bottom of the tent)
    - clip fan
    - oscillating 16" fan

Light schedule is 18/6 during veg and 12/12 for flower.

I'll be watering with distilled water PH'd @ ~6.5 and feeding my plants every other watering.

I'm growing 5 plants, but will give one of the seedlings away in a week or so. I'm using Fox Farms Happy Frog soil to start out the seedlings in solo cups. I will be transplanting them to 5gal pots using a mix of 80% Fox Farms Ocean Forest and 20% perlite.

I'll be using only the Viparspectra V600 (both bloom & veg switches on) until flower, then I'll add the other 3 Viparspectra V300s.

I won't give them any nutes for the first month or so, then I'll start with cal-mag and pure blend pro (grow), and then switch to pure blend pro (bloom), bud candy and big bud when i flip the lights.

The strain is Banana Kush. Seeds were obtained from ILGM. All 5 germinated and sprouted successfully.

  2. Day 8 from seed.

I've been having to water these seedlings every day so far. This happy frog soil dries up so damn fast. Is this the norm for happy frog soil? 20180830_113338.jpg

  3. I thought you were using Ocean Forest. I mix my soil the same as you, 80% fox farm and 20% perlite. It may be the good drainage that the perlite provides that's creating the need to water so much. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Looking great so far, man. Cant wait to see these babies unfold!

  4. Oh, do you have a soil moisture meter? That takes the guess work out for me. I water at low moist high dry at the very latest.

  5. I'm using 100% FF Happy Frog for my seedlings. I'll be transplanting to ocean forest and perlite, 80/20 mix.

And no I don't have a moisture meter. I dig my finger in the soil a bit to judge for dryness.

  6. Day 20 from seed

I transplanted them to 5gal pots using about an 85/15 mix of fox farms ocean forest soil and perlite. Judging by the pic below I'd say it was the right time to transplant.

The plants weren't doing so well this past week. I made a big mistake watering them every day. They didnt like that at all, as they were quite droopy this whole week. Hopefully they recover in this new soil 20180910_020222.jpg 20180910_133127.jpg

  7. Day 21 from seed

Looks like the plants recovered nicely from the transplant. I won't be using any nutrients for at least another week and a half 20180911_121432.jpg

  9. Looking good man! I made the switch to qb boards and organic no till soil this round and I'm loving it! I'd suggest reading up on no till, it just makes way too much sense! Keep feeding the worms and watering the soil and it does the rest for ya

My 4 QB288 v2s are running ~600 watts, I didnt quite get the canopy filled due to a transplant mishap (3 instead of 4 plants in my 4x4, 30 gal smart pots), but they're starting to put on a show in there! I'll keep checking in, your gals look like they should be taking off after stretching their legs in their forever homes!

    Day 30 from seed.

I watered them today with 3ml calmag and 9ml pure blend pro grow. First time watering with nutes.

Another 8-10 days tops and then I flip the lights. I am very happy with these plants so far 20180921_002007.jpg 20180921_001956.jpg 20180921_001947.jpg

  12. Day 32 from seed

Gonna flip the lights in 3-5 days. Everything is great.

Feels weird flipping to flower when I've only gave them veg nutes only twice 20180923_020454.jpg 20180923_020441.jpg

  13. Day 34 from seed

Gave them a small defoliation. Took off about 30 leaves total. Removed some of the larger, older fan leaves. Gonna defoliate again at week 3 of flower. I'm gonna flip in another 3-4 days

  14. Should I lift my lights up? They're about 12 inches away from the canopy

  15. I would. Looks like the leaves are starting to taco, if that's the case, move the lights up a bit.
Otherwise, your plants are looking great!
