270 watts of cfls or 250 hps?

    Hey guys, so the title pretty much is the question... which one would give off MORE HEAT? 6x 45 watt cfls or a 250 watt hps? And would I need to have big fans to cool the place down or are 3 computer fans good enough?'

    I would say they would put off about the same heat. CFLs get mighty hot as well especially 45 watt ones. I just migrated from a billion 35w CFLs to my 400 HPS and I find my HPS is actual cooler since it has active cooling fan on it.

    3 computer fans might not cut it but they do sell some pretty sweet high volume computer fans that gamer machines use.
