Hey guys. So i have decided to upgrade to a 250 watt hps from my 220 watts of cfl's because im getting tired of small fluffy buds. My question is, if i order a 250 watt hps bulb, what kind of base/ballast will i need to use? I want to make a cool tube and plan to order a pyrex bake a-round or find some hurricane glass at a crafts store. In some of the diy cool tubes that i have read, it seems like they just use a ceramic base like the ones at hd/lowes for normal bulbs.....can someone help me out a lil. Thanks! ps...my flower cab is 22"wX15"d6"h.
