yea my grow space isn't that big like 4 feet wide almost 2 feet long and about 6 feet high, and i figured that a 250w would be the best to go since the 400 would probably generate to much heat for the space? but i'm wanting to grow like 5 plants and i was wondering what would be the approximate yield difference in using a 250 compared to 400 for these 5 plants? thanks for any help...
Well, im a noob, but wouldnt 5 be too many for that size of a space? Seems like youd be better running the 250 in there like you thought. Not sure the yield difference as im still a newb|es.
my box is a similar size to yours and i use a 400w and my temps go between 71-75 i have got two intake fans (one computer fan on the bottom and a bathroom fan higher up on the front a bit below the light, cooling the air between the plants and light) and one outlet fan up at the top corner, mat
While I don't know the percentage, I would say somewere around 20% to 30%. However, I don't think you realize just how big an MJ plant is I got 6, well no, 5 (one went the way of male the rest are female though) plants and they are in the second week of flower and they cover 48"x42" and are over 35" high. Do you really think your going to fit 5 plants in there, two mature at best would be my goal. So plant 4(50/50 chance of male) and if you get only 1 female just adjust her to take up the available floor space and if you get more than 2, snip snip. Oh, I would go with the 400 watts if you can keep her cool enough in there.
you can do 5 plants easy man and 6 ft is plenty of space the general rule of thumb is 1sqft per plant and 4'x2'x6' that is 8sqft and 6ft high right. hell yeah. and with 6' of head room you can grow just about anything with some good lst.
