Please tell me someone enjoys hockey as much as i do and has seen this! I'm from northern VA so i have always loved the caps im a very avid fan, so this HBO HD documentary on both teams is fenomenal. HBO's best HD special for sure whos seen it?
Great tv. I'm a huge penguins fan, and I didn't expect much of this show before it started. I thought it'd be too geared towards casual sports fans, but it has been amazing. Didn't catch the last episode tonight, but I will later or tomorrow. Side note: I went to hs in northern va.
I thought it was an awesome series, seemed to make Crosby more likeable with alot of people.. How come they didn't show or mention Alexander Semin once? I'm a Sens fan but I enjoyed getting to know a bit about the two teams its good shit
Awesome show, wouldn't expect any less from HBO sports. I loved how you could see how differently the players act on ice vs. off ice. Just goes to show you how cool hockey players are. The interactions with the refs were also quite colorful
it was some of the best hbo ive seen, all 4 of them are going to be on tomorrow! as you said it was hockey to the bone. the on ice voice recorders are what took the cake, hockey players are funny as shit! the refs talk about the game during intermissions as if they were having a drink at the bar,
Not a fan of either of the teams, but it's a pretty amazing series. Camera shots are great, and it gives you a good behind the scenes look. If you like this series, I suggest watching Oil Change. It's about the Edmonton Oilers (obviously), and I think it's following them through the entire season. I've only seen a few episodes, but it's also very well done.
