yeah that won't be a problem, I've run 24/0 the entire veg before..won't do it again, but it worked fine
Low energy cfls... approx $12.70 more per month.... equivalent to an air conditioner running nonstop.
An air conditioner running non stop will cost more than 12.70 a month. Air conditioners can rack up huge electric bills, especially when it's 90+ for a week or two. I run 24/0 without any problems. It costs me 20 bucks a month to run 24/0 with a 400 watt MH.
I have a 10kBTU AC that if left running all the time would cost me a few hundred bucks a month. That was a terrible comparison as AC's are costly and CFL's are dirt cheap i grew a plant with CFL's and didnt notice any change in my electricity bill lol, much better example.
Well yeah some of the bigger ACs are costly....but I mean small window unit.... Prices for electric here are cheap....but the taxes are high Edit: I also meant to say an AC running nonstop on energy saver mode lol
that 10kBTU, is a window unit..... it uses a fuckin kilowatt hahaha i have a 3kBTU.... thats in my house (the 10kBTU is cooling my grow) it's still about 30 a month to run that thing for a few hours every day
Like I said, this is the price of a KW with Excels added fee's and taxes, not just the flat rate of a KW. My last bill 191 bucks, used 1350 KW/h
24/0 is completely fine. Cannabis does not need a dark cycle during veg. I've only grown once and am in the process of my second grow and my knowledge was gained from a long time grower who always does 24/0 veg. It gets the veg done faster too which means a shorter wait til harvest. Opinions will range on this and some folks swear that 18/6 is somehow better but it just isn't true. Of course, if you are watching electricity use or for other reasons you need to go 18/6 then by all means do that. Otherwise, doing it for the sake of the plant isnt helping at all.
Yeah 8.2 is what I'm at with everything..... Last bill was 115. Either way this is getting off topic. Besides " high electricity bill" are there any other disadvantages to running 24/0
there are certain processes the plant under goes during the dark period which some believe to be more beneficial than not, while others say 24/0 is better its more just a matter of what you want to do lol
there are certain processes the plant under goes during the dark period which some believe to be more beneficial than not, while others say 24/0 is better its more just a matter of what you want to do lol
Have you had experience with both? And have you noticed any difference
Have you had experience with both? And have you noticed any difference
I've only grown 1 plant I did 24/0 on and it turned out no different than other schedules, but since I only did 1 I have no controls to base that off of.
