This is my third season growing. 3 plants on the right are apparently pure Durban Poisen, and the plants on the right are my own hybrid. I am hoping to get 3 plants to harvest on these, will kull any that are sickly, male or lagging. Unlike last year, I will not be growing these in the ground, but in pots. Also, I have a new grow area, with better sun. I will be erecting a roof using green house sheeting. In my area, the rainiest time of the year is around harvest. I have been struggling with bud rot and mildew. I hope the roof will cut down on moisture. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Today I transplanted the seedlings to bigger pots, their home until they can be sexed. When do I start using nutrients (kelp) on these babies?
Plants are doing well. We are having a major heatwave at the moment, and I am worried about the stress it is causing to these little ones, but they are managing the 34c temp just fine Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Juat had the worst weather, 3 days of solid rais and no sun. The sun has poked its head through the clouds but there is more raid coming. All plants all doing well, no issues noted. Am going to top these off soon Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Plantsaa doing well. Lost some due to the fucking Bush Buck eating them, but seem to have that under control now. Germinating 6 Durban Poisen seeds bought from Motherland Genetics. They should be breaking ground tonight and will add them to this journal. I am using Bioneem for the first time this year and using Cannabiz Liquid Compost through seedling and veg. Just topped them for the last time. I always top my plants, but this year will be the first time I manifold train them. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Plants are ok. We have had the worst weather. We also have monkeys that love to pull my smaller plants out the ground, thus the cage. Two plants with the cage and grey pots are bought Durban Poison, femenised but not autos. Others are the same unnamed strain I have been growing for years. I have planted my bag seed strain into the ground and yesterday I did the final tie down. Now I will let them grow up. The potted plants are beans that I bought, Durban Poisen. The one was eaten by a bush buck, but I think it will live Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Seem to be picking an issue with the DP Landrace. The edges of the leaves are drying out. Any clue? Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I like the training. I think I will try something like that next year in my not yet constructed wide flat mini greenhouse.
Kinda failed to keep this years journal up to date. Ok, so here is the update. I had a lot of bad luck this year. Out of all the plants I struck, there were only two females. This year I used biobloom and bioneem for the first time. I hit some problems with the one plant picking up mildew and black spot. Bioneem sorted out this issue. I cannot say that the biobloom produced bigger buds or more of them but is it obvious that the buds are more dense, and there is way more Tricones. What ya all think. Pic 1 is a local hybrid that I grow every yeah called Swamani Poison. The second is Durban Poison Landrace from Motherland Gentics the buds are smaller but look so yummy
Durban is such a good outdoor strain. One of my neighbors grows around a dozen of them exclusively every year. Looking very yummy
Something went wrong in the last post PIC 1 Swamani Poisen PIC 2 Durban Poison Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
What is interesting is that I am 75km away from Durban and you would thing that DP likes the climate seeing that it is from here. The plant however struggled. Got their at the end of the day, but there was issues Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I am like 95% colour blind and can never tell if my buds are starting to ripen. The Stipules have browned and fallen off, well, most of them Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Once again, any help seeing if these are ready would be appreciated Sent from my SM-A307FN using Grasscity Forum mobile app
