2018/19 outdoor desert grow

Discussion in 'Outdoor Grow Journals' started by greenbeans420, Sep 29, 2018.

  1. aaaaaaaaaaaand the results are in on the new pollen chucks recently grown out, the below passed & made the grade -

Best listed from top down -

Paradise Seeds Sensi Star x Bodhi Goji OG
    IHG Timeless Montage x GDP x C99
UK Cheese x Blueberry x Mikado x Cannarado Barney Rubble
    IHG Cactido x Barney Rubble
Cannaventure PRK x Mosca C99 x Barney Rubble
BOG Sour Bubble x Hazeman Mikado
Bay Exclusives Tiramisu Cookies x Barney Rubble

the above offered nil herm tendency, high female to male ratio, overall good health & plant structure with great taste & potency.

the rest failed for one or more reasons such as herm tendency, poor vitality, genetic mutations etc

    * sad to see the GGG Bright Moments crosses failed in this test, potency is there but all its offspring have poorly formed buds & a large variation in growth patterns...non desirable.
also disappointed most of the Hazeman Mikado crosses were not up to scratch either, though at the end of the day stoked with the top 7

  2. 3rd wave to be planted 15/1/19 -

    proven chucks -

IHG Cactido x Cannarado Barney Rubble
    IHG Timeless Montage x GDP x C99
Paradise Seeds Sensi Star x Bodhi Goji OG
UK Cheese x Blueberry x Mikado x Cannarado Barney Rubble
Cannaventure PRK x Mosca C99 x Barney Rubble
    GDP x C99
    Sour Diesel x Chemdog x Romulan x C99

test grows of recent pollen chucks -

Trichome Jungle Ginger Bread x Cannarado Barney Rubble
Bay Exclusives Tiramisu Cookies x G.A.S. Cherry Sherbet

also to be planted out types for new pollen chucks -

to be used as studs -

    Archive Faceoff OG
    Bodhi Space Monkey
    Bodhi SSDD

the Faceoff OG was originally intended for stud of various cookie crosses which was to come at a later date, but fearing the Faceoff may lose germination rate they will be grown out now & selfed, as will SSDD.
the best females from the above 7 pollen chucks will also be pollinated

  3. ** the 4 Mr Nice strains grown out failed in the herm department, though after initial burst of early herm pods were removed none returned, all grew well except the Critical Skunk which seemed slow & pale in general, most had very good yields, yet since the herm factor is present none will be grown out again, since these wont be grown out again no smoke test was performed. no further interest in this banks wares except the SSH which is in the larder.
    Shark Shock
    Critical Skunk
    Master Kush Skunk
    G13 Skunk

wasn't sure if the Archive Face Off OG BX2 would germinate but 10 out of 13 have already, so in an effort to make a rough copy of Archive's Scooby Snacks, these 2 old stock Platinum Cookies types will be crossed with the Face Off

  5. Night Terror OG - 5 out of 12 germinated, ok cos they were getting some years on those beans, decent females will be wearing Bodhi's Space Monkey, SSDD & Archive's Face Off OG BX2 pollen

  8. thanks very much, its only through living in a very remote area which allows this type of grow, impossible anywhere near the coast with thorough copter search grid patterns

  9. 2nd wave going ok now though many were lost when a heatwave hit directly after transplanting, testing these plants that are in larger fabric pots that have not been used here before, pots range in size between 15gal/56ltr - 30gal/113ltr, plants are between 3' - 5' high and just starting to bud.

bad weather conditions wiped out many of the above seedlings, regardless here's a positive outlook on some others growing out atm
IHG Timeless Montage x Cannarado Barney Rubble, she carries through with the fathers strong citrus taste & aroma, stone is no weak sauce either
    h1.JPG
another IHG Timeless Montage(Mendo Montage x Dosidos) x Cannarado Barney Rubble(Orange Cookies x FPOG)
she's a winner with an short flower time, overall hardiness to the local conditions & fits the requirements in the quality of smoke, bag appeal dept. etc
    IMG_2650.JPG

  12. these 2(IHG Timeless Montage x Cannarado Barney Rubble) have been fed exclusively with the 2 packets only pictured below, overfed for a min but got it under control soon after
    IMG_2700.JPG IMG_2690.JPG

  13. 6' GDP x C99, few more weeks to go, very dense buds on this type, be sad when the last of these seeds are gone! #1 chuck alround
    IMG_2784.JPG
the below upcoming pollen chucks approx 3' high will be brought to 12/12 in the next week consisting of -
    Archive - Face Off OG
    SinCity - Platinum Delights
    Dynasty- Platinum Huckleberry Cookies
    Bodhi - SSDD
    " " - BBHP
    " " - Space Monkey
Rare Dankness - Night Terror OG
    GDP x C99
Cannaventure PRK x Mosca C99 x Cannarado Barney Rubble
UK Cheese x Blueberry x Mikado x Barney Rubble
    IMG_2801.JPG

  14. Bay Exclusives Tiramisu Cookies x Cannarado Barney Rubble, coming down soon
    IMG_2811.JPG
Cannaventure PRK x Mosca C99 x Cannarado Barney Rubble(3 pics below) also to meet the axe shortly, if the leaves look dusty then they are...dust storms blown in from the central Australian deserts during summer gives everything a coating, no real rain to wash it off
The Cannaventure PRK offered mixed results for many, yet the PRK carries through well after being outcrossed with its thick syrupy terpines & colors still present

  15. boys being separated & readied to be taken to isolation area away from the females, originally 3 different males were to be used in this seasons pollen chuck -
    Archive Face Off OG
    Bodhi Space Monkey
    Bodhi SSDD
though since the SinCity Platinum Delights & Dynasty Platinum Huckleberry Cookies males are looking good too a place will be found for those to spread their genes as well

    SinCity Platinum Delights
    IMG_2870.JPG
    Bodhi Space Monkey
    IMG_2872.JPG
    Bodhi SSDD
    IMG_2874.JPG
    Dynasty Platinum Huckleberry Cookies
    IMG_2880.JPG
    Archive Face Off OG BX2
    IMG_2887.JPG

  16. 3 x Bodhi SSDD females 3'-4' high, will be placed near suitable males in about 1 week, just culled 3 x SinCity Platinum Delight girls who hermed badly, have a nice looking male of the same strain though doubting now whether to use it for breeding since his sisters hermied for no real reason, why bother with types that herm when there's plenty of fire out there that doesn't?
    IMG_2910.JPG

  17. IHG Cactido x Cannarado Barney Rubble - nice overall pollen chuck this one, 10gal fabric pots suit the 4'-5' grow height here
    IMG_2924.JPG
UK Cheese x Blueberry x Mikado x Barney Rubble - a fast developer with a knockout stone
have some other girls of this strain ready to be pollinated with Face Off OG, Space Monkey & SSDD pollen mmmmm

  18. all females to be pollinated are out in selected areas with their individual studs...meanwhile back at the ranch
UK Cheese x Blueberry x Mikado x Barney Rubble fattening up nicely, daylight hours are below 12/12 now though buds are forming well with still high temps 30c/86f+
    IMG_2932.JPG
these plants though outdoors have not seen a drop of rain out here in the Badlands, often they can grow their entire life cycle without getting wet...great for those dense types, though the super dense can still get budrot no matter what
    IMG_2941.JPG
Cannaventure Pure Raspberry Kush x Mosca C99 x Cannarado Barney Rubble - the PRK still carries through with its thick raspberry syrup terpines & purp to the core pheno's
    IMG_2959.JPG

  19. only have 1 of these IHG Platinum Buffalo x GDP x C99 going atm, emits nice citrus tang terpines
    IMG_2961.JPG IMG_2980.JPG

  20. @ 2m/6' this IHG Cactido(Cactus OG x Dosidos) x Cannarado Barney Rubble(FPOG x Orange Cookies) is stacking well & throwing out some nice frost
