200W LED Lights, 226 LED units, 80 lum/w declared.

Discussion in 'Lighting' started by Neovit, Dec 20, 2020.

  1. Hi, I have a difficulty in finding proper lights here, in a remote country of the world under lockdown. But I've found those, they look pretty good and bright for the price.

I'm building a DIY 5*5 Grow Box. What do you think is the actual wattage? There are 6 lines of 36 6500k LED, so 226 in total. Do I need 3,4 or 5 of these? They also declare 80 lum/wm

They are heating pretty well, so I'll go with a good ventilation system.

    Thoughts?

Peace, beautiful people of Grassland IMG_20201220_181324.jpg

  3. You are going to have to find out the accrual draw of that driver and board setup and then people can help. Do you have a link to where you bought them?

you want a minimum of 30 watts a sqft maximum of 70 watts a sqft multiply your grow space and divide that by the actual wattage of your light or ( power draw ) to get your watts per sqft. 3x3=9 400 ( actual watts ) divided by 9 = 44.4 watts per sqft

  6. You could test it with a multimeter.

  7. Yeah, going to buy the multimeter tomorrow at this point. And no, I can't order online, I repeat, I'm under a border lock.

I'm having those LEDs now switched on to work on the pots, and it's bright as hell, my camera is getting mad near them and the heat is pretty high! Maybe they have a nice output, they are sold almost a parts and you have to bring them life putting all the parts together. Industrial stuff. IMG_20201220_215955.jpg
