Honestly you really don't need to spend 200 on glass. It's just unessescary. I spent 100 on a 'water-pipe' and I regret it. It's just waiting to break man i swear.

but if ur into percs, just go for 1 at most. i feel thats the perfect amount of percs.

if i was you i'd just get about a $80(or less) straight tube that's about 12-16 inches. that'd be perfect imo.

    not bad for the price

  3. Please don't listen to that guy^ spend as much money as you want man, the more the better. It is very easy to not break a bong even a shitty one unless you don't know how to handle a bong.... For $200 I'd look at apix stemlines

  4. I really can't tell if your entire post is sarcasm, but your logic is GREAT.

  5. im in the process of ordering from soulshine family glass for a piece about the same price.you can get a 15 inch straight tube or beaker for 100 dollars it comes with slitted diffy can upgrade to showerhead for 15 and can get a disk diffused slide for 25 i dont think i can post links to other sites here so just google soulshine family glass.you can also get gridded stemline hybrid and other similar pieces for 100-200 and they do good inline ash catchers for around 70 dollars.they have excellent customer service and responded promptly to my emails.i heard from other people on this site that their glass is the shit so i would definatly reccomend them

  6. Celticrasta and SsYyNn are onto the right path. You can't go wrong with ssfg or Apix for the price and quality. Especially if your under the 300 dollar range.

@japan- everyone has an opinion bro. Yours is just as valid as anyone else's, including SsYyNn's. He, like many others here, is an avid glass fan. So when he says "the more you spend, the better", in the context of talking to someone looking to get into glass, he's trying to say "you get what you pay for". He's trying to keep the OP from wasting cash on a china piece that he is most likely going to upgrade with proper glass before long anyway. Essentially making the first purchase a waste.

  7. He does have some logic there. The quality of the glass and how well it hits will be proportional to the money spent. (not always but as a consensus). Most cheaper ones will be mass produced, more expensive will have an individual blower that quality controls every part of the piece.

But in reality, all glass is fragile and will break if not handled correctly. On the other hand I have a few cheap china bongs and have never had a problem because I am careful.

I dont think his point is to spend everything you have, but to get something a little higher quality for the price point given ($200) which could easily be done by contacting Apix :smoke:

Sheldon black bubbler 6 arm. IMO Sheldon is the best

  9. I dont think he will find a sb 6 arm for 200 arent they like 260? and for 260 you can get much more than just a 6 arm bubbler..

If its listed at 260 they will allow a $200 even purchase. My SB beaker was listed at 250 i got it for 200 with an official SB ash catcher thrown in at the reduced price of $20 so $220 total no tax.

Also i was in the store 10 mins before closing so the guy didn't mind making one last nice sale before he closed up.

If you find a nice headshop they will always look out for their customers :hello:

    ****THIS IS A SIDE NOTE

If you find that the people running the head shop are dick heads then stop going to them. They wont be in business for long anyway. Theirs always that one store where the people are so friendly and helpful and respectful and then theirs the stores that are just in it for the money and could care less about the customer. They just want the money thats in the pocket.

  11. american blown glass is always a good buy. its a matter of finding the right place that sells quality glass. It depends on what kind of glass you're looking for.

  12. It's true you should get what you pay for, and if you're careful about it you usually will. But that doesn't necessarily mean that the more money you spend on something the better it is. And I can't stop him from getting a $200 piece, I just hope when he buys it, he makes sure he really wants it.

  13. Agreed. That's why I said "as a consensus its better, but not always" ;)

Just gotta do some research and you'll find some good stuff for that price.

  14. For around $200 I'd get an Apix. Great quality pieces at equally great prices.

    Plus Dan is a boss
