Hi all, got a question for anyone that can help. I've decided to up the wattage in my grow and no. of girls. But can't decide what would be best for my space! grow room is 1.4m x 2m (when extended), height is over 2m. Would it be better with 2 x 600w or 1kw??? Peace
Whereas I'd go for the 2 x 600w. They'll allow for more even canopy lighting, closer to the tops of the plants.
I would certainly choose 2 * 600 watts as it will give more lumens. Also there is less chance of your plants on the outside stretching.
I've read this also that 600's are the most efficient. Like Rabiez said, you will also get better light coverage.
Its certainly worth getting Digital lights. I picked two up from Basementlighting for about 300 pounds sterling. I have had no trouble in 3 grows and they switch on fully in one minute. Also they dont seem to be losing lumens unlike coil ballasts.
