hey guys this is my second week of my growing process What you guys think? and i if you can see in the pic's that i got sum orange tips at the side is that bad? and how can i fix it ......and on one side i cut it off ..should i have done tht? im growing it with regular sunlight from my window half of the day and then putting it under my lamp for the rest of the day. plus im using a regular light bulb but hopefully by the end of this week ill get a fluorescent light bulb

needs more light...also what kind of soil? looks like its too hot for you seedling. I suggest getting a couple 42w CFLs. they are cheap, hardware store has them with the plugs that you can plug into the extension cord. Mount it horizontally right above the plant. It will grow hell of a lot faster.
igth ima look for sum cfl lights to ..and do you guys think i should get red and blue lights to? would that help grow it faster?
and im using sum soil i got from my friend i for got what its called but its sum moist soil and sum soil i got from my backyard and mixed both of them together
the nute burn is very slight. I wouldnt worry about it. If it gets worse then just flush some water through it and it will stop. I would focus on the lighting right now. You need more of it. CFLs are good for budget grows.
Hello i see the yellowing tip's on your feeder leaves nitrogen problom burning up kill it and start another one. REMEMBER NEVER USE BACKYARD SOIL EVER
what the fuck? DONT KILL IT!!! the burn is minimal and the plant should pull right through it. Im not sure what the guy above me is smoking but i want some. I do agree though that backyard soil is not good. The reasoning behind it is you dont know what your working with and you dont know what kind of bugs or disease might reside in the soil. -Teapot
You can use backyard soil if you do a few things to prepare it for indoor use. First, bake it in the oven to kill any live organisms, whether that be bugs, roots, other plant matter, etc. Then you need to add tons of perlite/layer of rocks, because it typically has terrible drainage. Finally, flush out any unknowns in the soil with neutral water, check the runoff, and adjust ph as necessary. You guys are forgetting this is a plant that has survived for milleniums, before most modern societies even existed, so the pant can and will adapt to different conditions.
ight and yea the burning is going away .. but wht was the cause of it? so in the future it dont happen again but umm yea i still dont have the clf..hopefully ill get sum by next week smh. ....and also im saving up for a PC sheatlh box so yea. and hopefully everything will get going and i can really start growing it. but as of right now since i don't have the lights yet, would regular sun light and putting it under my lamp will still make it grow? or at least keep it alive until i get the stuff I need? -thx
Yeah it will grow. Just not that fast. I have a 8" tall plant in a window cill with nothing but natural light and water and it started to flower. Its got one bud and is a little smaller then a dime. So it can be done. Its been in the window cill since may though. it just got late enough in the season where i live to naturally have 12/12 occur. about 3 weeks ago.
also the cause of the slight burning was probably from your soil being too rich in nutrients or you giving them nutes. Seedlings will do just fine on their own in good soil for 3 weeks. Some soils like miracle grow are considered "hot", meaning high nutrient levels. So new seedlings can get a little burnt but they generally do recover. If it were to persist i would flush the soil a little bit and then feed them nutes when you see that they need them.
thx yo ...and you right cuz i watered my plant with sum fertilizer like last week ..and thts probably y it turned yellow ... thank god i looked at this post before i watered it ..cuz i was bout to do the same thing and water it with fertilizer ...u saved my plants life lol
you dont need to add fert. till way later, i usually give my plants a month at max before i add nutes.
