2 Tents, One Man..Photos n Autos

Just some random shoe boxes, stored soil for another project shhh..lol, and 5 super Lemon Haze regs. Two have cracked the surface.

Going to see what I can find in those five beans. Maybe make a few nice clones for the next grow once I find the girls. The little greenhouse should work well for getting them ready. When they're ready to sex I'll just put them in the 12/12 tent and see what I have. Let the females go to two weeks n take some clones. Hopefully I'll have all that ready to go when this tent finishes in Feb sometime.

 

The 420fastbud mixed bag of beans are doing just fine so far. They range in age from 10-15 days.


I waited on the devils before starting to bend plants. Not waiting for these lil ones. I'm starting the training now. By the end of a few weeks of this they should be good enough to leave alone the rest of the way.
I never top anything...fems, regs, or autos. Many argue their point but I find it impossible to remove a bud site. Especially the main one which has the potential to make the largest cola. By bending I can bring out the same end game. With regs n fems I don't need to train if using flowering clones.
Oh well, we all have our little ways but we get the job complete.

 

Funny you ask that. I had to shut it down. I didn't realize how much heat those little lamp strips put out. The mini greenhouse has no ventilation flaps and it got to hot.
I plan on opening up some holes in the plastics near the top before I use it again. Makes for a nice storage spot at the moment.

So I bid on this lamp and won it for $35. A HydroPlanet T5ho 4' 8 lamp rig. Holy shit this thing is huge. 24"x47" and weighs about 30lbs. Definitely not Daddy's shop light..lol.

Anyways, I have two 2x4 tents still in the box. I'm going to erect one and see how this behemoth fits..lol. The next challenge will be finding a spot in a already crowded dining room.

I've been reassured that this lamp will work through a whole cycle of growing but I'm not going to use it for that. A nursery for young plants, clones, and auto starts should be a good job for the new lamp.

 

Since I'm erecting another tent I may just use this small mini greenhouse for a mushroom farm. I think it would do a good job. I'll be finding out soon..lol

 

Autos are a new wrinkle for me. I've not grown in almost two decades so Ive not cracked a auto or fem seed until recently.
I don't expect a large harvest with autos but I do love the potential for a continuous harvest. 4-6-8oz a plant adds up when ya have 8-12 growing in different stages. Then add in the variety of flavors you can grow and you can have a nice library of weed with little effort.
Growing without the 12hour restrictions and no light worries makes them a great option. Like may others I turned my nose up to them when I first read about folks experimenting with it. When I stopped growing years ago autos were just begining to be talked about and few were actually trying. Same goes for the LEDs. They were just experimenting back then. Today, omg it's off the hook. I've been waiting for years to jump back into the cannabis green wave and I've finally arrived... legal.

I started off with a 150w hps. Great little lamp for small places. Oh how we quickly evolve from that little rig..lol. I soon was running dual 400w in a 4x8 cabinet.

I SEE FLOWERS!!!

Rolling along here with these autos. So far I'm loving them. Here they are on or near the 32 day mark. Three are flowering and starting to stretch. I've halted training and just letting them do their thing.
Last week I dosed them with a little flower nutes and then hit them hard just a few days ago with more flower nutes. Recommended does for Signal and topped it up close to 900ppm. It was a big jump so I'm going to sit back and see how they react. So far so good.


The mixed bag of beans from Fastbuds is doing good so far. Nothing exciting. Just in early stages. Oldest is day 18 with other three close behind.

 

Thanks Clearsky, I've admired some of your work. Your scrogs are pretty awesome. I love a scrog grow. I'm working hard towards that very goal of a few pounds. I've made a few mistakes but the rust was pretty caked on after all those years of not being in the grow game.
Autos alone should kick out a nice harvest and then photos are bout to blow up so I'm gonna be filling some jars near the end of January. Can't wait!

 

Thank you Flannigan, this is my first tent grow. Lots of firsts happening with this grow. First autos, feminized seed, and LEDs, this time round. But I'm trying to just stick with the basics and let shit happen.
I love that 4x8. I'm not using the whole tent just yet. I've illuminated about a 4x6 area for the autos. I need one more lamp to complete the tent but what I have going right now is kicking ass in there. 300 & 400w. I'd love to find a nice 600+ to go in the middle of those two. Another adiding 480w would be enough. I like that lamp. It's in my photo tent.

 

It has been painful. Especially when you observe them daily. Seems like they're in limbo but they're not..lol.
