Hello GC, So I have 2 plants, both in basically the same home mixed soil. The soil is made up of : Peat Moss, Potting Soil, Horse Manure, SeaSoil, Perlite, Lime for pH. Plants get plenty of sun. I am fertilizing with 5-1-1 Organic Fish Ferts.. I think I fed them 2 much so I've slowed down and lowered the dosage. However, I dont believe that is the reason for the mid yellowing of the one plant. I recently transplanted into that pot in the picture, it was in a much much smaller pot until yesterday. I suspect it is a pH problem. The pot I had it in before had NOT been bufffered by lime. So for the new pot I added maybe 2-3 tablespoons of Lime to hopefully balance the Ph. Sorry the pic is not perfect. What do you guys think? ANY IDEAS OR COMMENTS ARE MUCH APPRECIATED! THX EVERYONE!
Interesting mynameisStitch... If I recall correctly you are from OG yes? I remember having lots of respect for you due to your posts. Everyone else was saying it was lack of water and no real sign of a deficiancy.. Anyway, I added horse manure and dolomite lime to the NEW soil which the plant is currently in.. Hopefully this fixes any nute-lock-out and nitrogen problems.. I have started to fertilize agan aswell! I will have an update(pictures) in a few days to compare and see if the problem is getting better / worse. Thx for the reply!!
hey there, yup i am from overgrow, thank you very much for your respect i very much appreciate it! nope those plants are not overwatered, you have a nitrogen problem just need to up the dose a bit how much are you using right now and how often? the damaged leaves wont recover but it will stop if you are giving them enough, you dont want to overdo it though so just add a bit more than what you are.....
I have mixed in horse manure like I said.. Im not sure the NPK value on it though.. I dont think its very high at all. But other than that, I am mixing about the recommended amount of 5-1-1 fish fert. every 3 waterings roughly.. I was doing it very frequently so I laid of the fert for a while to see if it will help, but like I said I am now ferting on a regular basis. PICS are coming! To help you help me ! thx for the replies
Updates can be found at these links: http://forum.grasscity.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=43151&d=1153609638 http://forum.grasscity.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=43152&d=1153609638 http://forum.grasscity.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=43153&d=1153609638 I think the dolomite lime that has been recently added to the soil helped out the pH of the soil.. but still not perfect.. the plant on the right still isn't getting huge or anything.. its been hot so i've been watering every 2 days about 1-2 gallons per pot. thx! advice?
