2 Plants, 1 Pot

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Abukuchick, Jan 3, 2003.

  1. I was just wondering if it is bad to have 2 plants in a really big container but RIGHT next to eachother (like 2 inches apart). I planted a new seed and it didn't pop through the dirt for 6 days (today) so we planted a second sprouted seed in the same 6 inch pot. Now the first one is a little stem, but the second srpout has yet to surface. Would them growing this close together hurt them? If so, would it be better to dig the seed out now, or kill the 2nd plant when it's bigger? Thanks.

  2. Just wait until the second one sprouts then pull it out, don't dig it out now, you may damage the first.
    good luck.

  3. One of them is going to overcrowd the other and steall all the light.

But that's not a bad thing. When you flower, you have a back-up in the same container if the big/first one turns out to be a male. Then you would chop the male down and hope that the little scrawny one that has been sitting in the shade is a female.
