2 HUGE plants in a tiny tent. Need URGENT help!

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by Theprox, Aug 31, 2017.

  1. I have 2 female plants that I intended to grow outside . I transplanted them in 3 gallon smart pots. Growing in FFOF soil. They're both 2 months old.

They were on my porch, getting whatever light they could get. They're about 2.5 - 3 feet big. Never gave nutrients.. took them inside at night.

I last second decided to buy a tent (2x4x5) and 2 viparspectra 300 watt leds.

Will they be capable of growing in there successfully? Should I super crop or LST them? They're currently tied down. Tent & lights came today and I set it all up & put them inside & tied them down quick.

What should I do? ANY suggestions are welcome[IMG]

Outdoor grower here, so wait for more from the indoor guys......
I think the bondage is a good idea.
One piece of advice - switch those plants to 12/12 right now or you're gonna run outta room. Dunno if they'll run out of steam during flower in just 3gallon pots....best of luck

  3. I super cropped them . First time ever doing this. Hopefully all is well. [IMG][IMG]

  4. Since u super cropped them I would veg a while longer then transplant to a 5 or 7 gallon smart pot. Ur going to get a lot of side shoots coming up(multiple colas, instead of one). But ur also gonna want to support those main stems. Best of luck to you

  5. I just went ahead & put something underneath the plant to support it. How long until it recovers? It's not looking well..

  6. A couple days or so, I think u super cropped a little early but should be fine. All those little branches growing out the side of the main stem will be come main colas, that's one reason why people super cropped and to keep them short. Just keep on ur regular feeding schedule and you should start to see them shoot up, also where it's bent at should also swell up to a nukle.

  7. They were not huge plants to start, but they will be in a month or two

  8. You think I should transplant into 5 gallon ? If you saw the update, I did supercrop. They're not looking too good. Leaves are dry, nothing looks healthy..

  9. Yeah I think you should transplant up to larger containers, but they already looked like they needed it before you supercropped it. Meaning, they are gonna be pretty stressed out. Fabric pots are thankfully easy to transplant. Expect slowed growth for a bit and keep them in 18/6 until they recover. Then flower those ASAP

  10. How long do you think it will take to recover? The leaves look small and shriveled & dry a tiny bit.

As soon as they recover I should transplant ?

  11. I would transplant asap and not wait - its already stressed, get it over with. Just be very careful with the roots. Some fresh soil will help recovery - give a good watering. I'd add some kelp tea or make a EWC slurry.

  12. Keep the same soil from the 3 gallon right? Just move it to a 5 gallon & add more new soil ?

  13. Yes just add more soil

  14. Yeah, have the other pot ready with some soil in the bottom. Add your plant and all contents of the pot into the larger size, making sure to handle carefully and preservethe integrity of the root ball. Fill remaining space with new soil. Water in and add a bit more soil as the water will make it settle and compact a bit. Then leave it alone.
