I'm setting up a grow box on wheels. (steel wire "metro rack" shelving) This is my "test grow" well, As soon as I got the blackout plastic I had to germ some select bag seed. These girls have been through hell. Started out vegging under a 4' 4tube T5 (1 ballast toast) running in 2 bulbs. I ended up vegging 3 months. first couple of weeks PH was at 8.7 got a ph kit. couple of weeks temps were getting pretty cool. down to ~62 got a heater/themostat. ran like this for a while. it took a few months to save/click the buy button, but I got a 600w hps with the xxl hood. and the lumatek 600/400 digital ballast. got another thermastat to regulate an exahust fan. (heater only kicks in at night now Been in flower for 3 weeks now. I put the chicken wire for the scrog @ about 6 weeks. (pretty high, I will drop to about 12" next round) had surgery and coudn't make the stairs for a while and they jumped right through the screen. So I pretty mush LST'd the big girl to death. (everything above screen then tied to it.) I'm pretty happy so far. I can't wait to see the end result. In the backgrond you can see a couple stragglers. I had to kick 4 boys. 3 of which were strong plants. and was left with the obvious star of the group, the one that I topped on a whim, and 2 mutants that were extreme runts but have been springing to life now that I cranked up the lumens and switched to flowering. the PH/Temp/"Didn't change the res for a month" f-ups/lessons seem to really affect the plants differently. The one I topped/over pruned has had yellowing fans and look droopy(but feel on the harder side) everything is fed from the same res. suggestions welcome. hey its a learning experience. Next round, once dialed in. I'm planning on a 1 room perp harvest with some autoAKs. ok here are some pics.
oh yeah, wrap up report. 12 mason jars off the one big plant. It was obviosly from beaster parents upon first toke. the 5th pic turned out very cheesy. the plant in the 6th and 7th pick turned shitty it worked alright but something in the flavor was off. there was one plant barely pictured in pic #2&3 (front left) turned out to be the superstar. the flavor is like juicy fruit skunk. sugary as hell. a pleseant surprise (runt throughout veg into early flower) harvested Feb1. should last me through sept at this rate
