1st timer question about if its time to cut

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Les Doodess, Dec 17, 2010.

  1. Totally a lets see what happens, threw some seeds from a tray into a pot that had dirt. Watered it loved it, took a ton of pictures of her. Now I think its time to cut and I just want to make sure some agree, or stop me before I do it wrong :)

    Funny story behind this first time, I think the cats got more of it than I will! I brought her in this morning cause its getting chilly and the cat went right for it, [IMG] NOOOOOOOOO!!!! She is now safe locked in a closet while i post this to see what to do next.

    Please advise, Thank you sirs.

  4. Get yourself a 30x magnifier and look at the trichs.
    Clear = keep going
    Milky = keep going
    Amber = way too done

    Anything between 25% to 33% amber is where you want to harvest.

  5. Thanks man, IDK that I can get that today, but I will in the future I'm sure :)
    I Have a magnifying glass that is kind of scratched, a digital camera, binoculars (dissembled) and my spectacles which may be the most powerful in the bunch. The eyepiece of the binocs works if I basically put my eye on one end and basically touching the bud with the other end. Any suggestions on a combo of lenses that can get me a good shot that close?
    :hippie:

  6. it looks like they will be mostly milky right now so if you want more of a social energetic head high then chop now if you want more stoned you will need a radio shack handheld microscope for $20 dollars to see the trichnomes

  7. Thanks G. :hello:

    MacGyver stopped by today, he got a few decent shots using a binocular lense backwards. See a little bit of amber, mostly cloudy and even a bit of clear. monitor daily.

    Macgyver was full of stories tho. I suppose in the meantime I can post some pics he gave me and stories about the guy and this plant and these cats he told me about.

  11. hard for me to see the details but I would say you still have time till fully ripe.

  12. somehow I missed a week of pics but what a cool jump from day 23 to day 39 or 40.

    Here I had topped the smaller of the 2 healthy ones. I think I had read that in a magazine like 10 years ago and huh, cool lets try this. :rolleyes::eek:

    Now those 2 sprouts that came 2 weeks late were just weird, it just never really took off, probably the heat. :(:confused_2::cry:

  13. Thanks yy I agree with some good guidance from GC.

    I am totally in love with this and stoked to get growin again soon. This will be my practice thread I guess since I'm doing it backwards. :laughing:

  14. Maybe wait a week or two

  15. Wow, through Christmas is wild to me, I never even thought.

    I have some pics from a week or so ago, where there were more amber. seems like we had a mid December growth spurt : ) Wonder if we can get a push for new years too?

    How about 2 flowering cycles? .... Wellll before you spend time on that... let me get to the cats.

  16. Big storm blew threw so I bring them inside for the night. Wake up to this basically as the remnants to the large one. :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
