1st time questions....

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by TiPWiLL, Oct 11, 2014.

  1. I have done research on google so please dont get frustrated with my simple questions. I want the latest and up to date current info thats working as i learn. What is the easiest sufficient way to make an organic water only soil?

Is there really a pH difference when it comes to organic growing indoors? I saw it on one journal but the guy was using big words going over my head trying to explain why there is. I never read anything else about it.

Do plants really grow slower in organics?

What is the tea people use in plants? I always see it and when i search all i get is vids on how to make it. I want to know its benefits. How it helps the plants.

Thats all but please help me out.
Im wanting to go to a 3 plant organic grow for my next run.

  2. Argh! I had a nice reply typed out to this and my tablet ate it.

Basically, you're in the right place. Start reading the pinned threads. There are tons of information there.

I'll try and do better when I get to a PC.

I am currently making my first batch of organic soil. However these forums have been excellent with helping me.

For your soil mix I would start here: http://forum.grasscity.com/organic-growing/1116550-easy-organic-soil-mix-beginners.html

From my understanding soil buffers ph very well and the pH of the soil itself is constantly changing. From my limited experience and reading it appears most people on here who use organic soil don't bother testing for ph.

I have never heard plants grow slower in organics though I could be wrong here.

And as for the teas jerry pointed me in the direction of this thread which contains the information you seek although I think it would be very beneficial to you to read it's entirety.

I'm sure there are people here with more experience but those links I listed is where I started.

    TiPWiLL,

There are a lot of really talented organic gardeners on this site. If I were new to organics and the site, I would START HERE. Get a good handle on what it takes to build a good living soil, and a lot of your questions will answer yourself.

Edit, and soapy already pointed that link out. But anyway, that's where I would start. ;)

    Peace!

As others have said start reading the stickys tons of great info. One of the most important parts of a living soil is quality EWC/compost get that and the rest will come together for you. As far as PH your soil will take care of that for you. No flushing cause there is nothing bad to flush.  This year was my first year using living soil and I absolutely love it. I cant tell you the whys and hows it works but it works

  8. Well i was told a lot of the times the stickys are out of date. In some cases still on here because it was a dead and gone master that introduced something new. Thats why i asked but as i read the link provided i realized its not as complex as people in other forums make it seem. I think they added to me questioning what i already read. But thank you all so much.

It is highly advised anybody starting down this path read at least the basic stickys in order to get an idea on how people build and maintain these soils over long periods of time.

With preparation and maintenance the soil we make will last a lifetime.

  10. Thank you so much. This sounds simple af... Ima try it on 1 plant and see what the difference is. Been doing waaaaay more research so i think ill try this with clones and not my seeds.. I have almost got the hang of it. Ill try it out on free clones ill take from them.
