hey I'm a first time grower and I have a 2week5day auto that (I assume) has started to flower I just wanted to know how it was looking any advice will be very help full Thanks people
You should do some LST on her and see if you can get her to branch out for you befor she really flips into flower. If you are not going to LST she does look good. I just got a fruit punch auto to pop this week and the cheese auto that is outside is like 4 foot tall.
Thanx every one means a lot and I'm not really sure on LST so don't really want to be doing thing I'm not sure about fully don't want to make any mistakes
That's the right attitude. Learn how the plants grow, then get fancy later. For the first grow, leaf tucking to better expose buds is a good strategy.
Thank u I'm gonna try that it's seems easier to start and I have friends that have said bout it as well
I've done topping, training, scrogging, mainlining, but am going back to just letting them grow next time. Mine don't seem happy when I'm pulling, bending, cutting, stretching. And I'm not happy either seeing them respond to my torture. Plus I strongly suspect these things slow the plants down. Training can cause too much vegetation for a tent to contain if space is limited. I've got an uncontrollable jungle right now. Some of us variety lovers just want small amounts of lots of different strains. Training to spread branches out means fewer plants will fit into a tent.
Yeah I only have a small tent so I'm just gonna learn how they grow I don't think it's a very tell strain anyway
All LST is Low Stress Training. You just tie down the plant so the underbranches get more light this in turn will give you a bigger yield. There is nothing wrong with not doing it. Just seems a lot of growers will train there plant so they get a bigger yield. Next season of growing try tying her down right from the start. Once she is like 6 inches tall just bend her over. Its as easy as that. you do not want to cut or top a auto so LST is the best bet. You really cant mess up this kind of training since you are not damaging the plant. Best of Luck to you
if they aren't happy with it, you are doing something wrong. all my plants have always loved the topping, fimming, and training. they respond extremely well and thrive. this girl was topped 4 times i think and is still being trained even today over 2 weeks into flower. thatguythatgrows
I should've been more specific. What makes my plants and me unhappy with plant manipulation techniques is that they stimulate too much growth. If too many plants are enclosed in the same space (guilty) too much growth causes competition among plants, and a tangled jungle. When small amounts of lots of different strains are wanted, training makes it more difficult to grow enough different plants.
new growth means they are happy. you have to adjust your schedule accordingly and flower before they get crazy. the plant above only vegged for 6 weeks. without training and topping, there's no way i could have such a great looking plant in a 2x2x3 space.
