Hey whats up everyone! Ive been on gc for awhile and ive really wanted to start growing because I really cant afford paying all this money when I can grow this beautiful crop. The only thing is I have to be stealth about it. So I made a carbon scrubber, and my 66cfm computer fan cant push threw it. So now their is no negative pressure and that cant happen. Ive been researching some good computer fans and I found one that is 200cfm but I dont really think I need one that strong, or that loud... So if anyone has built the one I have(link at the bottom of page) and has success with it can you please tell me what cfm fan your using so I can buy one before i start growing in a week or two. Yea my next question was if I should get a 150watt or 250 watt hps? I don't want the locker to be 100degrees and I don't have enough room in their for cooling the light either. Any help would be great! The size of the locker is 1'x1'x3'
More light = more yeild But with the heat... try it out with nothing in the box with cfl lights for a couple days.. if the temp is gettig like 78+ you may have a problem with heat... I'm having heat issues with a florecent... so keep an eye on the temp
I have done a couple tests. With my thermometer under the light it runs at about 82F At the bottom it runs in the high 70's and the top its mid 80's. But I want a diffrent computer fan then the one I bought. So if anyone has used a carbon scrubber with a computer fan will you please post on what cfm it was so i can order it!
With any hps your gonna have heat issues... my 42w cfl was getting to about 78 to 81 or so.. I put a t5 florecent in and now it can easly hit like 90+
Damn that sucks. Hopefully you can resolve your problem. Do you have any fans inside the grow room? Or an exhaust and intake fan?
Yeah.... I have 2 fans a small $5 walmart fan 3in and a regular floor one 10in that dont really help.. Just got a hydrofarm inline fan to use for an exhaust... This is in a 6x6x4 closet... I didnt expect this to get so hot at all.. You can see what im up to look in my signature "My First Grow - Journal"
lol right after i posted that i looked at your grow journal. I kinda feel bad for your plant. Is it getting any better?!
I do too.. LOL Its still droopy. Im not sure wtf is up exactly...its growing... its taller than it was... A bit droopy and the yellow start of the tips is telling me it may be either nute burn from before or mabye a deficiency in nutes.. But the guy at the hydro store said not to give nutes at all for at least a week.. So im not really sure whats up.. the other sproutling is totally dead im sure... that was my own stupidity... I gave it a full dose of nutes and had the light like 4in from it.. Leaves were crispy lol But this guy ( i hope) will do better
Yea just dont overfeed it with nutes. Give it some water to see if she can survive! lol but you should start a couple more,or order some like i did! haha i cant wait for my blue mystic to come!
