1st journal* 2nd grow* Ethos genetics ~inzane in the membrane

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by Dejanaraw, Aug 9, 2019.

  1. Back at it again this is my first journal and 2nd grow. Just put seeds into cups yesterday (08/07/2019) took about 48 hours to germinate (started germ process on 08/05/2019) all 5 seeds using the paper towel method. I added 3 lights to start this time that I started as soon as I planted in cups with mycorrhizae and also decided to go ahead and put in tent and not to use humidity dome. (Last grow I started with humidity dome and the light to sit on top and seedlings stretched due to light being too far) this will be an organic grow and I’m super excited to start this journey with you guys and looking forward to all of your great advice and feedback. Here we go again!!

    I will be using....

    **Seedling stage**

    48”x48”x80” grow tent

5 ethos inzane in the membrane fem seeds

    Starting off with 3 lights

45 w LED lamp with dual head (counted as 2 lights)

T5 light (came previously with humidity dome)

    Heating pad

16oz clear cups inside of 18oz red solo cups

    Epsoma seeding soil

    Humidifier

    2 small fans

6in exhaust fan with carbon filter

I need to get Inline fan for air intake in the mean time I have the bottom air vent of my tent open with box fan blowing in

    Temp is between 74-79 degrees

    Humidity is between 60%-72%

    Lights and fans going 24/7

    **Plans**

Top plants 2 maybe (depends on plants)

    SCROG (1st time attempting)

Start with compost tea mixture on week 3

Switch lights to 2 vivarspectra 600 w leds

Transplant to 5 gal fabric pots with mycorrhizae

Fill pots with Reds Premium Biochar Blend Soil topped with epsoma seedling soil

Will run lights 24/7 until flower then 12/12

Feeding schedule will be 2 plain waters/ 1 compost tea feed (plans as of now but we will listen to plants)

Last feeding before switch to flower will be substituted with epsom salt feed then 72 hours of darkness before flower

    2 week flush

2x water, 3x epsom salt feed, finish with water only

72 hours of darkness before harvest

Water used will be tap water going in a 5 gallon bucket being aerated 24/7 with aquarium pump (adding humid acid)

Compost tea will also be brewed in a 5 gallon bucket using aeration.

(For compost tea water will be aerated for 24 hours before adding ingredients also will brew for another 24-36 hours and will be brewed with aquarium heater)

**Ingredients for compost tea in veg**

Nature’s living soil concentrated super soil

    Fish fertilizer

    Liquid Kelp

    Humid Acid

    Molasses

Mycorrhizae (every now and then at the end of brew before feeding- mycorrhizae can not survive the brewing process)

**Ingredients for compost tea in flower**

Only nature's living soil concentrated super soil

Also last grow at the very end my house started filling up with fungus gnats! Luckily they came like within the last week of flower so they didn’t cause any harm THANK SWEET BABY JESUS!!!!! but I still have them in my house and will be using pyrethrin concentrate to try to manage them! Hopefully this stuff works and we won’t have any issues cuz don’t nobody got time for that! For real tho!

Super excited and looking very forward to this grow!!!!!

  2. Had my eye on Ethos for a little while now... friend of mine has a beautiful mother plant that's from them and is currently growing their "Banana Daddy" strain.
Very curious how you make out with those "Inzane" beans.
I'll be following along for sure!
    Best of luck!

  3. Thank you and I will definitely keep you updated! I’m super excited

Went to check on temp and humidity levels and this beautiful little baby was peeping up at me !

    (Only one so far)

  5. Just ordered a pack of 6 fem seeds of this strain, should be here by end of this week... But I wanna see how yours come along also so subbed! Lol, it would be nice to see how they compare... My grow box is much smaller though.. 23x23x47

  14. I haven't been able to find many reviews or grows on their strains... And yeah, they were sold as a pack of 6, other than singles.

  16. That's awesome, really.. I plan on buying from them again so hopefully I get more freebies... And their seeds seem like superior quality compared to another site I ordered from

  17. 05/16/2019*Day 11-Sprayed with water earlier because the soil was dry since I’ve been trying to keep it as dry as possible since I have fungus gnats so idk I just got high and decided to do some shit so Now like 5 hours later I removed those little seed lights and added one of my 600w LEDs and I noticed only a couple small flies which is big progress (I’ve been spraying every 3-4 days with pyrethrin) but I noticed 2 little black weird kind of beetle looking bugs at the bottom of the little humidity dome my cups are in! (I immediately panicked and killed them without taking a picture*DUMB‍♀️) I want my babies to be safe so I sprayed again with one part peroxide and 3 parts water and did a spray of pyrethrin. Hope I didn’t over water and damage my plants but I have to get these little bitches before they get my babies. I plan on getting some DE as soon as I get some cash and some beneficial nematodes when I transplant. I hope it’s not too late by then! 0BBEF538-DF55-4250-8B91-0AD611FB8597.jpeg 62BA45B6-7F1B-48F5-8A5C-576275D694FD.jpeg 041E4BD6-D2D5-4BE3-AEA6-481F9BC9789C.jpeg

Should I keep it like this or is this overkill?

  19. Why don't you check how they respond to your 600w led first by moving it up a bit, to see where your temps are a bit stable and lower... And to see how much they stretch with distance from the light, then see what you want to do...

For example, my blue dream grow, the seedling is about 30" below the light and nodes are tight... Seedlings don't need a lot of PAR, so you can get away with a bit further light placement.

  20. With my new qb96 board i was constantly testing my plants by moving the light down and turning the intensity up, little by little. Sometimes the response would be really amazing, like a burst of dense growth... And sometimes my leaves were burnt tacos... Lol

I'd use the LED, experiment by moving it down an inch or two every couple days, looking for any signs of stress, or get a light meter to help find the sweet spot for those wee gals.
I found that even having a shitty light meter app for my phone helped me better understand the relationship between light intensities at different heights.
It may not have been super accurate but a reading of 7K lux vs. 70K lux definitely helped me understand height differences.
