Hey guys I’m doing a first grow here and i have two seedlings that I used the paper to well method tap root grew out about half an inch potted in a root pot been misting the top. I’m at day 7 in the pot and worried that the seeds went bad. I’ve used RO water ph6.8 LED 1500W 27” T 77 H 49 I have two other plants in there seem to be doing great wasn’t sure when you call it quits on a seedling Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
If you’ve had the seedling in there with an already half in tap root it should have popped by now. You may have buried it too Deep and also made the soil too moist and heavy for it to erect and pop through. let the soil dry and very carefully try and dig until you see the seedling. Hopefully it’s trying to get out. Get it some oxygen and it will pop. you may want to start new seed. Don’t bury it so deep and do not water after you planted it. Let it pop in side and stretch a little before placing outside.
I gotta agree with James. When I'm cracking beans using the paper towel method I put them in soil immediately once a root appears. That means you need to check the soaking seeds several times a day. Most viable seed will crack within hours. Once transfered to soil I barely cover the seed. Soak the medium once. The seedling should appear way before additional watering is needed. Keep them warm and draft free to avoid drying out the medium till the lil lady appears. Or at least we hope it's a lady..lol. Your long tailed bean has probably spent all of its energy hence the no show. You'll get a system of your own down as time goes by. Good luck with your other plants.
They might be bad if it's been that long without breaking dirt but I don't understand if they had taps Sent from my Moto E (4) using Grasscity Forum mobile app
