This is my first grow, I've read as much as I could on gc but can't seem to put my finger on what problems I am having(see pics). Im on the 4th week from planting. I am using a 450w MH lighting system with 3 gallon buckets. I just transplanted to the 3 gal and now the plants are starting to look not so good. Its a closet grow with temps in the range or 75-85, I have monitored the PH from the start (using the liquid drops(getting a PH/PPM pen this week)) I have the plants on a digital timer 18/6 and only water when I feel the weight of the pot feel light or if i stick my finger a few inches in the soil and its dry. I have used a spray bottle with a few drops of original ivory dish soap to help kill some bugs. I did spray the whole plant at one point(do I need to spray with regular water? to get the soap off the leaves?) Using Fox Farm Ocean Forrest Potting Soil Nutrients: Following Foxfarm Soil System Feeding Schedule Here is a pic of my setup in my closet. 1st left(Auto Lowlife Hindu Kush) 1st right(bag seed almost 2 weeks younger than all the rest)2nd left (Thai Skunk) 2nd right(Auto Lowlife Hindu Kush 3rd left(DNA La Woman) 3rd right ( Thai Skunk) Auto Hindu Kush Lowrider (4 days older than the other kush/thai)(leaves are starting to curl under this plant has recently shown sex(female) and is starting to flower (I believe) Newest growth at the top is also curling under. Quesitons I have on this plant are: I have been using just the recomended nutes from FF ever other watering and started at 1/2 strength. B/c of this plant is a auto lowrider do I need to adjust my feeding schedual of nutes? Example on the 4th week it suggests 2tsp/gal grow big and 2tbl/gal bigbloom - should I instead be using Week 5-7 which is more geared towards flowering ( Week 5-7 - tsp/gal tiger bloom 1 tbl/gal big bloom w/ 1/4 tsp/gal of open sesame or week 7 2 tsp/gal growbig 2tsp/gal tigerbloom 1tbl/gal big bloom 1/4 tsp/gal beastie bloomz?) Also should I wait till the next watering to add nutes b/c of transplant?) Finally should I top/fim an auto lowrider? 1st right- Bag seem not to worried about this one 2nd left - Thai Super Skunk : Lower leafs are dieing(not to worried) but the top leaves are starting to get rust/yellow spots throughout the leaves. (I can take more specific pictures if people respond) This one has not shown sex yet and I have never seen a male plant but just wanted to be careful b/c I have 3 female plants right next to it. I topped this plant b/c I heard it will grow crazy tall. Any help on this one would be appreciated ph seems fine just not sure about nutrients and PPM (will learn more after I get my digital pen) 2nd right- Auto Hindu Kush Lowrider- as you can see this plant I think was stressed some how and grew much taller than it should have(see 1st left same plant) This plant has also shown sex leaves not curling down but they have lighter green almost yellow of the tops of several leaves. Not as bushy as my other one. Any ideas? 3rd left - LA Woman feminized this plant is almost a week younger than the hindu's. Slight discoloration on lowest leaves other than that its growing like a beast. I am hoping to clone with this plant and have not topped yet(should I? I have been lsting the plant). 3rd right- Thai Super Skunk - Discoloration of leaves(yellowing/slight red)(can take more direct pictures) Curling under of leaves. This plant was also topped. Any help would be appreciated the grow in in an enclosed closet with no air vent inside I slide my mirror door open and have a fan that blows into the cool tube and down at the plants(temps may reach close to 85+ mid day when I am at work(will have to have the roomate check temps for me to be sure. I plan on running my a/c lower when he leaves to make up for the mid day heat. If you need any more info from me( ph of runoff water through plant pots/more specific pics of certain plants with problems(ex leaves) I will be glad to get it up asap. Thanks in advance
yup corect /....flushing wont hurt it anyways if anything its like a clense for them /...you see good results....other than that check the ph and the ppm ..see how much ur feeding them but doesnt look like over feed of nutes o...this usually happens to 60 day strains there usually delicate to change ...the 90 day haze is usually a good strain for beginers its usually more forgiving....how long are u going to keep veging those puppies....
Well right now I have 2 auto hindu kush and only have 1 lamp 400w (switched the bulb to HPS this morning) I am looking for a good digital pen that does both PH and PPM (Hanna prob) but local hydro store sells everything for like 20-30 more dollars so I am looking online.(any suggestions?) I plan on veggin the LA Woman until I have a clone setup going as she is my best bet for continuing growth.(clones) Eventually thinking of building a airopoinics/bubbleponics system but just low on funds so started with soil. Also heres a question when I go to flush in a day or so can I add nutes directly after flushing(getting the PH a good range)(last water/transplant I used only water and should use nutes this week) Also what strength magnifying glass do you guys use? Looking to pick one up but not sure where to get a good one? Online? Thanks for the response!
right after the flush i think you should wait till it dries then give it final faze ot some ph blancer...
So first run some 6.5 ph water through soil till I get run off water. Then test the runoff and adjust ph to get the ph of the run off to about 6.5? So I have 6 (3 gal pots) so I need (6*3)*3=54 Gals of water? To flush? Then wait till next watering to add nutes? Sorry I end up reading so much on gc I get confused.
Where do you get your water from? Can I use sink water leaving the cap off for 24 hours for chlorine or should I just goto Walmart and get some RO water?

i do both ....i fill up like seven one gallon water botles and let them sit for 24 hours but i heard the chlorine doesnt rise so i sometimes put the water in a 5 gallom biket with a air stone in the bottlme it rises the phloride chlorine and some other stuf that tap water comes with if not go to walmart or publix w.e get distilled water.....dude flush those puppies they look bad ....and nute burn furshure but the other one looks like lak of water....
alright ill do it tomorrow night probably a few plants at a time so im not buying a weird amount of water. Hopefully this will bring them back to life! Thx Do you use a digital ph meter? If so do you recommend anywhere to buy one online? Just trying to keep some cost down but for a ph/ppm combo I would like to find a nice one around 150 or so.
welll i got a three way meter forthe ph meter and i just bought a pen last week for 80 buks at a grow store...go online google it or order it straight from hydro farm . i use to buy my water the first month of growing but it just got to expensive...every three days buys 15 galloons...doesnt sound like alot but after a while it does make a lil hole im my poket ..tap water is fine just buy a five dollar pump at walmart and leave it pumping bubbles in a bucket and by the next day the water should be fine ....makeyour own distilled water....and for the pen try and buy a two in one ...so its cheeper
go to amazon.com. they have everything you need for cheap.. i was just looking earlier where you can get a good ph meter for like 80 and then an ec/tds(ppm) meter for like another 50. i have the ph meter and it works great. and definitely flush your babies. it doesn't look like burn it looks like a deficiency probably due to jacked up ph. you need to hurry if you havent done so already.

I will be flushing today after work and( well first I will be testing runoff with (liquid tester) and if PH is way off I will flush them wait 3-4 days then start with nutes again. Also when i transplanted I put 2 caps of 3% hydrogen peroxide/gal (read in a few articles its good for roots can anyone confirm this?) just wanna make sure that wasn't the problem in itself.
Alright back at home I have more ?'s. Bought water from Walmart - PH reading 6.0 Added that water to plants and runoff approx 6.5 (so ph must have been 7+) When flushing do I do it all in one night? I have used 2 gallons total now in each plant need 9 gallons total in in pot to fully flush. Does flushing cause a nute deficiency ? If so next water 2-3 days I should start back on 1/4 str nutes? Also the kush which started flowering they need flowering nutes not veg correct(stupid ? but wanted to be sure) Thanks
Flushing looks like its working. Now I have a question about Nute solutions (since I dont have a PPM meter yet) How many solutions (cal/mag, grow big or big bloom) can I put into 1 gallon with out over doing the ppm? I am pretty confused about this and would appreciate a response on whether I should put 1 solution only into 1 gal of water or if I can put more into 1.
wen in flush you only use nutes no bloomm......i think ...i use final faze monster bloom and a ph balancer...
