I know pretty much nothing than the basics, so any help would be awesome. I'm only trying to grow 1 or 2 plants and I was wondering if a 50w 2700lumen cfl light is alright. I can get more, and I'm not sure if the watts are too low, but that's why you guys are here to help right? And any help with the soil I bought would be awesome 0.10-0.08-0.06 i can get more if it's not going to cut it
That cfl you have is going to work for those two plants for about the first couple weeks, after that your going to need alot more lumons. The numbers posted for the soil is an npk ratio, the numbers are basicly saying there is a tiny bit of each in the soil, which is fine. Its usualy good to find a soil that doesnt have any added ferts so they dont conflict with the ones you will be later useing, or the soil have to much of the 3 and case nute burn for the plants, you shouldnt run into this problem though with how low those ratios are. You are going to need a veg fert, schultz or peters i would suggest for veg, and then later on a bloom fert.
What is the K temperature of the cfl's? Not sure if you knew but thought id throw out that you want 6000-6500K for veg and 2800-3000K for flower.
If it isnt written on the product, when you plug it in, does it give off a blue, white, or orange shade?
