Hi, this is my 1st time and i just wanted to try it out for an experiment juss to see if i can do it. Im gona have my light mounted above, it is 2 cfls 25 watt each like fluorex type bulbs there said to be brigher than standard "65 w (=500w)" fluorex fixtures. Rated to make 3600lumens. Im germinating 5 seeds right now hoping to get at least 2 fem. The space is a lilttle over 24'' high, 10''wide and length is about 16''. Im happy to hear any suggestions and help from anyone whos had experience.
I have 1 problem with my grow box, it gets too hot. I Did a teset today and after about 24hrs the temp gets to abot 88 degrees. Help!!! Ne one how do you keep the temp lower....?
2 computer fans and a power source would do it. Just need a fan to bring air in, probably close to the light source, then another fan to take out
Put 1 computer fan towards the back bottem right of your box, make it blowing in cool air and then take another fan and place it as close as possiable to top and have it blowing hot air out, that should keep your temps in the 75F area
Don't use fans set-up like that in a Box type set-up.....they "Fight" with each other.....install a "Adjustable Floor vent" in the back of your box....and then install BOTH fans pullin air out of the top or high in the back .... adjust the vent til ya' git the temp ya' want.....you never need an intake fan if you pull enuff air out
Thanks everybody for your comments. the only thing is i need it so no light comes out. how do make it so the light doesnt come out where the fans are
send an owl to harry potter and ask him to cast a spell that wont let light travel through open spaces, thats your only hope. or put a cover on the exhaust like this so that the light doesnt come through or if it does its minimal.
