Thats gnarly why would you buy second hand glass? Just spend the extra and get a brand new one.. + what kinda tramp doesn't clean there bong ever..

Try some 420 cleaner or Randy's, might take some soaking time and lots of shaking but should get it done

take out the most gunk you can manually, and then just put iso alcohol + salt and shake. repeat until clean

 

Simple Green works great you just have to be able to fill it totally up. and it does take a good amount of rinsing to get rid of the smell of simple green which reminds me of licorice. it's totally harmless tho.

 

Plug the down tube and fill it up with >70% ISO cover the mouthpiece with clingfilm and a rubberband. You don't want the ISO to evaporate. Then stick the whole thing in a bucket of warm water (not too hot, 100F or 40C will go a long way, without the risk of thermal shock to the glass). Leave it over night to try and dissolve as much resin as possible.

After that, rinse it out properly with hot water. Just be careful to not shock the glass by putting piping hot water straight into a cold pipe.

Normally I'd say use coarse salt. But in this case, you want the salt to pass trough a perc so it can clean in between the two. Table salt will work best. Keep in mind that if you use <99% ISO that quite a bit of salt will dissolve into the water content of the alcohol. You will need to add enough salt so it doesn't dissolve anymore.
The undisolved salt will act as an abrasive to get the really bad gunk that won't easily dissolve in the alcohol otherwise.
Use about as much alcohol in at this stage as you would normally put water in there. Plug both ends of the bong and shake as vigorously as you dare. You will want the outside of the bong to be dry for this, wet glass is slippery. Ask me about dropping an 80 euro pre-cooler because it was wet.

Rinse and repeat the last step until the gunk is gone. Note that you will have some floaties stuck in between the percs. You probably won't get all of that shit out first time round. But with regular cleaning they should eventually go away.

After all the gunk has gone, rinse the bong out with salt water. This will get rid of what ever ISO is left inside. Afterwards rinse your bong properly to get rid of the salt.

Last but not least, use an ashcatcher with that type of bong. It'll save you a lot of headache keeping it clean. I'd recommend a Blaze Glass honeycomb recycler AC, because in my experience they are by far the superiour AC. But even the cheapest 3-arm tree perc from Black Leaf (my LHS sells them for a fiver) will keep most crap out of the bong.

 

Let it soak in some isopropyl alcohol for a day or two. that should remove alot of the resin

 

I have many hard to reach Bongs, Go to any Beauty Store buy Acetone 100%
Rinde with Acetone, let the Acetone evaporate then wash it out. Aceyobe will make it look spankin new. Youre gonna trip on how a little bit will strip that resin off.

 

i use acetone sometimes but only if i dont have alcohol. any solvent will do especially if you add salt
