My plants are 6 weeks into veg and I will now be switching my light schedule to 12/12 to trigger flowering. -If I have a daily schedule of lights off 6pm-6am, will it affect the plants if I have to change this time block? (7pm-7am) As long as it gets 12 hours of uninterrupted light will it matter if I miss an hour and have to change the schedule? (I can't afford auto timers at this point and my current work schedule is conflicting) -Have I triggered flowering too late? -I will be using slightly more wattage during flowering with my warm white CFLs. Will this affect my plants adversely? Thanks in advance.
More wattage = more lumen = more light = good for flowering, from what I understand. The few things I've looked at say to change your lighting schedual change the end time, not the start time, changing start times stresses, and thats bad, less production and/or poorer quality. How tall are your plants, and are they showing sex yet? (fem = little pistols, or hair like things)
Once you are in 12/12, if you need to change around the light schedule do so by extending dark or by shortening light, never by extending light. And you need to find a way to get a timer, they are only a few bucks.
