keep up the good work :)

  4. yeah man it's amazing how quickly the plants can change after a good watering. man... the buds are growing fast. some of the plants, especially the kush is already getting covered with trichs, as you can see in the photos.

  7. Damn Z, you're making it look easy man! Those plants look perfect, great bud porn and a hell of a grow.

  8. Hey man the grow looks great, was just wondering how big the area is that you have the 21 plants in and what size pots your using? and was wondering how high the plants got in your last grow as i was surprized that you only got 5.6 ounces from 16 plants:eek:.

i'll stay tuned to your grow as its a great journal that you have going here:hello:

    Cheers Bud_Lover:smoking:

  9. Lookin great Ze!

  10. haha thanks yez all - i guess i've got a green thumb :)

Bud_lover, the area is 4 feet by about 20 inches. The flood table tray (which is new this grow) confines the pots within a smaller area of maybe 40"x 18". They let me somehow squeeze 21 plants instead of the 16, having a third row of plants instead of just two. Those are 1 gallon, 6 inch round pots.

That was my first grow, and i pretty much fucked some things up; I used awesome blossoms blooming enhancer as the only source of nutrients, which your not supposed to do (pretty awesome indeed, considering). I didn't use ANY grow, micro, or bloom formulas, which i am using now. Keep in mind, this soilless grow is actually a form of hydro, which i didn't understand, since there is no real soil. So that fact combined with the major pH lockout that I had last round taught me the things i needed to learn to pull off a majorly successful and efficient grow. By this time last show, most of my leaves were pretty yellow, and then i had to do a major flush because the lockout.

Anyway, I had started with really small clones that were decently rooted in rockwool (this batch was aerocloned, so much healthier, although they were the second best ones compared to a bunch i gave away). So anyway then i immediately flowered them with no veg time whatsoever. Although they get a decent stretch, they got to a max height of maybe 16-17 inches. The last thing i wanted was to have the lights get pushed too high and have to deal with it later; being the first grow i was on the cautious side. All the stress they received definitely had an impact on my final weight, and then i may have chopped a little early too, which is also why it may seem like the weight was small for so many plants.

All things considered though, I'm still happy. I wasn't aiming for weight, it is mostly about quality for me. and believe me, the 15 or more people that have tried this tell me it is the most intense and best quality weed they have ever smoked or seen for ANY price.

No worries though, i plan on doubling my weight with even higher quality this time: :smoke:

some more amazing pics coming soon... some of the widows are getting frosty white already, on only the 20th day of flower!

  11. Well i think your first was a brilliant success just on the learning experience for you and all of us faithfull readers  let alone the sweet buds you and your mates had the privilege of smoking:bongin: lol. Thanks for the info on your grow room it was quite helpfull.

Your second grow seems to be thriving and these indica will deffs produce way more buds especially now that you know what your doing. Good luck with the rest of this grow ill be payying very close attention and trying to get as much info on your grow as i save up for my own t5 setup.

also just wondering, did you do anything to keep your last grow from getting tall or was that the max height they grew to?

    Cheers Bud_Lover:smoke:

  12. Dude your first grow was inspiring, damn near made me tear down my setup I had and switch to t5's, which I may still do later LOL

So are you saying the promix you used in the 1st grow wasn't soil? Is it a perlite/vermiculite mix or something?

  13. This is the best T5 SOG demonstration that I've seen. I'm really wanting to get a T5 setup now. Mostly for cuttings and a few mother plants. I'm really short on space though.

  14. You know for a one-grow-space setup (as opposed to a veg/flower room combo for instance), the t5's are hard to beat. You can do it with HID's of course, but you're paying for two lighting systems or a switchable ballast.

One more question for ya Z - did you swap bulbs at all on your first grow? Forgive me if I overlooked the answer already (I did search though), I see you have a mix of bulbs so curious if you used that from veg to flower.

  15. God dam those look soo good. I wish I wish bought a t5 fixture instead of all my CFL's. I was tempting the idea of maybe going to HID's but why would i with results like that.

  16. I'm thinking that would be perfect for a scrog setup, I've searched but can't find a t5/scrog journal (but I know they are out there!).

  17. Lookin good man. Ill be starting my growing career before too long, and I plan on using a SoG set-up to heh. Im tuning in, cant wait to see how your girls turn out ;)

  18. hey B_L, i didn't really do anything to keep the plants shorter, other than picking the lower growth shoots from the shorter plants, encouraging top growth, and leaving the taller ones with more shoots so they get bushier and not so tall.

AskEd, I didn't switch bulbs. I've got another identical light that i use for my moms, but i left it with all 6500K's. It's pretty much the best all-round light in my opinion, and i imagine a few red bulbs even while vegging might be better than all blues. Best thing is the thickness, and how close you can get plants to the bulbs... it really saves space compared to an HID for vegging or flowering.

As for the promix question, it has no soil in it, so it's considered a soil-less mixture, and it's basically hydro... but its very similar to any soil grow. thats' right, vermiculite, perlite, peat, and this second grow the only difference in my mixture is that i threw in some worm castings (10%).
:metal: some bud porn for you :D

  19. So... I've got 2 white widow mothers, from original feminized seeds. The 6 clones i flowered from the one kind i have just discovered have fucking male pollen sacks below the buds. hermaphrodite.

i'll try to keep positive and think of how all those seeds are going to be all females at least, and maybe some widow/blueberry or kush/widow combos for another time

Anyway, it's prob to late once even one sack opens, but i've moved the widows to another tent area under equivalent light. I might leave them there (separate ventilation) for the next couple weeks till i need that space.

Anyone feel like explaining how my seed vs. thc ratio should turn out? how long could the pollen affect my other crops in the future? if only a bit of pollen was released, are ALL my other buds going to be filled up with seed, or just the surfaces that got pollen on it. because i do plan on adding a lot more bud in there, but maybe with the timing it will be mostly seed free...?

i'm gonna fucking kill that plant and burn it's babies... when they're done budding and dried of course

all the other plants are good as it gets for being only day 22 of flower

  20. Looking a little thinner in there without the hermi widows. I've got them safely flowering out of sight and smell of the others... Not like it will save me from getting a seeded crop, i can imagine how effective the pollen is.

It certainly would have been better with a small fan to keep the stems stronger on this one, since I've split many tops, and things are getting goofy. the kush especially has a weak root and stem base, just like it's mom.

Got some pics of the fuggen hermi-sacks.
