STi's had a turbo and stronger tranny and suspension. So it's not just cosmetic differences the STi is legitamately better. If you are finding a cobra for that cheap it's probably got alot of miles. The 4.6 with that m112 on it isn't very MPG friendly.
if you want something fun and enjoyable to drive get a WRX. You can get a decent one for that price if you shop around.
