i'm installing a 150watt HPS in my small stealth cabinet soon. the cabinet is 24"w x 18"d x 36"h. i'm thinking about purchasing a Floralux 150watt hps with an "Air Cooled" hood, however, i'm worried that since the ballast is built into the actual hood....it'll make the entire hps run hotter. http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=49255 so now...my question which would run cooler in my cabinet? Floralux 150watt w/ a fan hooked up to the hood vs bulb+ballast+reflector w/ a fan blowing on it what about.... It wouldnt be that hard to disassemble the ballast box which is a part of the hood and mount it on the exterior of the grow box.
