150 Watt HPS

    Can a 150watt hps bulb that puts out 16,000 lumens work on 4-5 plants in a 3'L 2'W 8'T?

    If they're small plants. Otherwise you want to go up to 250w.

    where im at heat is an issue. but i want a great yield. lol so idk probably gonna need to go with multi spectrum cfl..?

    Well you could try to light the tops with the HPS, and then just add some CFL's or tubes to the sides, but yeah 150w isn't really enough for 4 decent size plants. At the distance you'd want to keep it from the tops, I don't think it would cover all 4 plants. To cover all 4 tops it'd be too far away and not as intense as you want it.
