150 and 200 watt light????

    ive decided to use the 150 and 200 watt cfls my question is will i need a balast? can i just screw these into a light sockt and flip the switch?

    I believe you can, some do need certain sockets.
    Did you already buy them? Read what kind of mogul socket they need.

    Most CFL have the Ballast built into the end where you screw it into the socket...

    Most of the CFL's over 55 watts have a built in ballast
    thats if they have a "Medium" standard household socket

    i did a little research and found out i need a mougal what ever that is
