15 year old killed after chase.. drug related

    Police: Deadly Chase Began After Drug Activity Seen

    Guthrie, Kentucky police said they began a deadly pursuit of a suspect after they saw drug activity.

    The chase ended in Robertson County, Tennessee with the death of a 15-year-old.

    Tennessee Highway Patrol officials said Guthrie, Kentucky police chased the car across the state line.

    Michael Carter died when the car his uncle was driving ran off the road and landed in a creek upside down. The teen drowned.

    The uncle, Stacey Carter, was charged with vehicular homicide.

    Guthrie's police chief said his officers notified Toddy County, Kentucky, emergency dispatch about the pursuit and asked them to alert Robertson County officials.

    Tennessee Highway Patrol officials said emergency officials in Tennessee weren't notified.

    wow...that gets me...im almost hoping the highway patrol was lying to cover their asses...
