15 states are considering legalization?

  1. NORML.ORG US IL: Illinois Is Going To Pot, Legally And Quickly

Read this on NORML and it said "...and 15 states, including Illinois, are now considering legalization."

The most obvious one is California and then supposedly Illinois, but what are the other 13 states? The only other states I could think of are Colorado, Vermont, Maine, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada.

  2. Wow I hope thats a good sign of things to come. The U.S. is really looking at Cali right now

  3. PA is up there too but right now its just a discussion i dont know if they actually have a bill written

  4. Thats what I wanted to hear!

    :D

  5. WHEN is the HOUSE in IL going to make a move? That's what I want to know. Its been in the rules committee for over a month now.

On another note, I did hear that Gov. Pat Quinn said he WOULD SIGN THE BILL if the house passes it. Senate already passed it I believe.

kudos to IL, and good luck to IL

  6. hey buddy! how about rhode island...we have a bill i think...

btw, edibles get you stoned as fuck

  7. I think the new date is sometime around the second week of February.....

Quinn said he would sign it if the votes are there, but 2 of the running candidates said they will work to repeal it if they get elected next term....

It will be a long fight that is not nearly over.......

My wife is big on the politics. She said it's a 3 year pilot program and she doubts it will be repealed before that. After, it could be.

I think the votes will be there. Jayjay, where did you read about the 2 running candidates saying they would repeal it?

The house is in session again on the 3rd of Feb. I wonder if it will come out of the rules committee then. Here is the link to the IL general assembly. http://www.ilga.gov/

Lot's of excitement in the air!!:hello::hello:

  9. I'm afraid they used the term "legalization" very loosely in that article to describe any state that has either a medical or de-crim/legalization bill in the works. Still good news though!

If you read the entire bill you will see that it is incredibly flawed (obviously not written by someone that understands the horticulture, consumption and healing of this plant), but it's a step. We thoroughly discussed this all at the last friendship house meeting.

I believe the article about the other two candidates was in the Chicago trib a couple weeks ago. NormlIL did a brief write up about it on there site, but it was not worded as aggressively.

BTW....you are exactly right about the 3 year pilot program it is limited on amount of patients and they are allowed 6 plants (3 mature, mature is defined as 1'x1'), 2 ounces dried, 1 care giver and/or 1 dispensary. Just the basics...............

  11. May god help Illinois

  12. Where did it say it was limited on the amount of patients? I thought it was limited by the amount of illnesses.

    I could be wrong.

  13. Wooo, since when!?

So, is this medical... or is this actual full blown legalization!?

Oh man, I'm excited I hope this passes w/e it is! haha

  14. I asked the same question because I could not find it directly written, but was told it was one of the items they intend to clear up. Supposedly it's in there, it's just in lawyery political jargon terms....

  15. rhode island is pushing to cuz our dumb asses are in so much debt, i want some of whatever the states financial council is smoking  :smoking:

  16. Florida is one of them for medical purposes.

  17. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that we have a bill that got proposssed. but I haven't seem anything about it in a while. Iv been waking to see more about it

  18. supposedly the sub-committee is gonna say something by next week or so

  19. Oh, alright. Well I hope something good comes out of it:smoking:
