My tent is in my office. My office can easily handle being dark from 7pm to 6am (11hrs.) However, lights in that room routinely come on between 6am and 6:30am during the week. I'm trying to avoid duct taping the velcro seams of some of the viewing ports. Would 13 hours of light and 11 hours of dark be ok for flowering or would it screw up the process and result in a low yield/herm/etc.? EDIT: In addition, as of today she is at 4 weeks of vegetation. Trying to decide if it's time to switch the light cycle to induce flowering? I'll say the plant isn't nearly as big as other grows when I switch them over to flower lighting. However, the plant is easily 3 times the size my prior plants were after only a month of vegetation. Maybe 30-40 leaves total. Would be happy to show a pic if that helps. Just curious if it'll keep growing as it flowers or does growth stop when flowering starts? Thinking of giving her another 2-4 weeks of vegetation at this point. Thanks!
oddly, this was just discussed yesterday in Greater than 12 hours of light after flower initiation in short, yes, you can flower using 13:11.
That'll teach me to search before asking. But as to the second question, any thoughts on whether vegetative growth continues during flowering? It's been a few years since my last grow and while I lean toward no....I can't remember. Thanks!
That helps! I think I'll let it veg for another two weeks and then switch the lighting. It's just nowhere near the size it needs to be to start flowering. Would hate for the "stretch" not to get it up to size when a simple two weeks of more veg would have made a huge difference. Thanks
OMG I have been growing weed in flowering on 12/12 for decades ,, Must be a miracle Personally what is there to gain by going 13/11 ?
Not following this. How would temperature control be the issue? I thought i spelled it out pretty specifically what the concern was in the OP.
