yea i was wondering say u start a plant out at 12/12 light, about how big would it grow, and how much would it yield? they are like some mid-grade seeds. how long would it take for them to bud as well? thanks for any help...
Don't bother, its not worth it, you need to give the plant at least 3-4 weeks veg before puttin it under 12/12
I was like you really anxious to get some bud but veg. them for couple of weeks and you won't regret it.
Well veg it for a week or 2 untill it has a few nodes, then force flower it by keeping it under 12/12.
if you're interested in 12/12, check out a former thread by mokepot on the issue i think it's by the same title. looks like it could be a way to do a managable low maint grow, with just big nugs jutting up out of the soil. i'd think if you picked an apt strain it could be worth it. total cropping would be down, but you'd still have plenty of bud.
I'm doing this with my grow right now and it works good for those of us who don't have alot of space to work with. edit: look who started this thread....
Mokepot, dont let anyone on here tell you what can and cannot be done unless they have actually tried it themselves.... Its not a waste of time and there is ZERO need to have the plant under 18/6 for any period of time. What you all think before we started growing this shit the sun stayed up longer just for this plant??? I think not. If you do it smartly you can have a huge yield in a very very short time. very nice D, however, a veg period of 10 days to 2 weeks will double your quantity and in some strains will increase the thc level, and you can still keep the grow under 2" by using lst and/or scrog. imo the cost/product ratio goes way down with a veg period 2-4 weeks for indoor growing. That said, anything more than a month is a waist of time indoors unless you have 12" ceilings and 1000 watt light.
naturally longer veg will make more branches and larger tree causing more yield, but that was not his question... Plus i wasnt even answering his question, i was merely saying its not a waste of time because you can have some very good bud and yield (depending on strain) by keeping it in 12/12 from the onset. The thread was just to show him what he could get and what size about it would be. in addition that was not grown indoors it was outdoors.
Hey D, wasn't trying to say not worth a try, just trying to pointing out the benefit of a veg period, even a short one.
Hey Dierwolf, Didn't you say in a post somewhere that you started seedlings under 12/12 so they would show sex then put them into veg for your indoor grows? Could you eleborate on that?
